Chapter 13

*~ Finding A New Route ~*

- Techno's POV -

After I grabbed my map, I opened it and looked at the path Tommy marked out. It wasn't half bad. It looked like it'd be pretty fast. But it does look like one of the more dangerous routes, especially for someone like Ranboo.

We would need to cross several large rivers. And sure, the rivers were probably frozen over, but they will probably be slightly thawed by the time we get to them. And I don't want to risk Ranboo falling in. Because if he can't teleport, he'll probably get stuck under the ice.

And even if he can teleport he, would probably end up with some horrendous injuries. And if he even managed to avoid that, he'd probably end just up dying of hypothermia or frostbite. And I saved him from doing just that, so it'd be a waste if he died like that.

I started examining the map for ulterior routes, but none looked nearly as fast as the one Tommy picked. Why did he have to choose such a fast route? It'll probably take Ranboo and me almost twice as long as everyone else. And we'll also need to wait for the storm to completely pass before we can leave because Ranboo doesn't have proper clothing. And god knows how long that'll take.

I continued to look for a route that might be a little better than the one Tommy picked. But I couldn't find any that looked even half as decent as the first one I found, which was annoying. I guess the rest of SBI will have to wait for me to get there. Thankfully they know that I don't die, so there's no chance that they'll leave without me.

The voices started to talk among themselves, most likely got bored of being so quiet. I sighed and folded up the map. There's no point in examining the map further. There are probably no better options besides the first one I found.

I put the map back in my bag and pulled out the book I was reading before. I opened it and turned to the page I left off on and started reading again. The mumble of voices quieted down so they could read along with me.

Until a couple of them started yelling to annoy everyone else. And this caused several of the voices to tell them to stop. And of course, this didn't work so they started bickering, and then they started to argue. Soon they were yelling over each other and just being generally annoying to everyone else.

Despite all the commotion I continued reading. I've read while the voices were much, much louder than they are right now. Now that I think about it, this was probably one of their more tame fights. Soon the racket that their fight was causing faded into the distance as I got lost in my book.
