*~ Almost Time ~*

- Ranboo's POV -

I had gotten about halfway through the book before I decided to take a break and check up on Technoblade. They hadn't moved much since they sat down and I'm starting to get a little concerned. Hopefully, they're not mad at me, that wouldn't be good.

I set the book aside and got up. I shivered slightly once I was out from under the warmth of the blanket and started to make my way over to my new friend. I didn't know what to say to them so I just sat down next to them.

"Hey, Technoblade." I was looking at the campfire but I could tell Techno lifted their head to look at me.

"Hey, Ranboo, how have you been? It's not too cold or anything like that." I shook my head in response.

"No, I'm fine. Why do you ask?"

"It's just really cold. He'll I'm getting a bit cold and I'm the one wearing the proper clothing. I can't imagine how cold you might be."

"I'm not that cold, and sure it's a little chilly but getting under a blanket is enough for it to be okay." I didn't need to look at Technoblade to know that they were glaring at me. Jokes on them, I'm being serious.

"I'm being serious. I'm not entirely useless you know." The large pig let out a small chuckle.

"You sure? Looking at your track record I don't know if I can believe you."

"Yeah, I suppose makes sense. But I'm not lying to you. I'm not just a damsel in distress that has no idea what they're doing."

"Whatever you say Ranboo." I turned my head to look at Technoblade. The eye contact was unpleasant but I continued to look at them to try and prove that I was serious.

"Didn't you say eye contact was unpleasant?" I didn't say anything and just kept staring at them.

"Um, Ranboo, you good?" After another moment of eye contact Techno looked away. Ha, take that, I've won this battle Technoblade.

"Ranboo are you seriously not cold?"

"No, I am cold, but just not that cold."

"Huh, do you know why?"

"No, I don't think so."

"Maybe it's because you're half enderman?"

"Maybe, I don't know." Techno and I sat starring at the campfire for a while, unsure of what to say next.

"When do you think we can leave. I'm getting tired of sitting here doing nothing?"

"Probably when the bad weather dies down."

"When do you think that'll happen?"

"I don't know, tomorrow maybe. I could check how the weather is now if you want me to."

"Uh, yeah that'd be nice, thanks." Techno nodded, stood up, and started to make their way over to the blocked-off entrance of the cave. They opened their inventory and stared at it for a little bit.

"I forgot you stole my axe."

"I'm sorry, I didn't mean to."

"It was an AXE-ident, I swear." Techno slowly turned their head to look at me.

"I should have left you outside."

"Yeah."

"But it's too late for that now. You're stuck with me."

"Not if I fucking kill you." Techno tilted their head to the side and smiled while saying this.

"What. Please don't, I'm a fan of not dying." The pig laughed and turned back towards the wooden barrier.

"I'm kidding, I'm kidding." Technoblade was still smiling.

"Oh." I let out a small laugh at the realization of how dumb I probably sounded. Techno then grabbed a crafting table from their inventory and placed it on the ground. They pulled out some other items and placed them on the table and crafted an axe. They then mined one of the wooden planks and then just stared at the hole in the wall.

"Huh, didn't think it'd snow that much."

"What do you mean?" I got up and started to walk over to where Technoblade was standing.

"We've been snowed in." I stood next to the pig and looked through the hole in the wall they had made, it was completely covered in snow.

"It's probably just a thin layer of snow, I don't think it would be too difficult to break through it." Techno looked at me and hit the snow with a scooping motion using the axe they just crafted. The snow fell, only to reveal even more snow.

"I'm not so sure about that one chief."

"Well, that sucks." Technoblade turned their head to look at the hole in the wall again.

"Yeah, it does."

"But I still need to check if the weather has gotten any better."

"How will you do that?" Techno slowly turned to look at me again.

"Shovel."

"Oh." Technoblade turned back around and mined the wooden planks under the hole they created before. Then they pulled out a shovel and started digging. I didn't know what else to do so I just watched them dig.

It didn't take them too long for Technoblade to break through the snow. The main reason there was such a thick layer of snow covering the entrance in the first place was that the wind from the snowstorm caused it to pile up against the side of the mountain we were under.

Once Techno broke through the layer of snow we were hit with a gust of wind. This didn't deter the pig and they continued to move the rest of the snow out of the way. They soon left the small tunnel they had created so they could get a better look at how the weather was.

After about a minute or so they reentered the cave and blocked off the exit again. Their hair was a mess and some of it was plastered across their face. They started to move their hair out of their face as they started talking.

"I think the snowstorm is over but it's too windy to leave now. But it'll probably die down by tomorrow."

"That's good."

"Yeah, it is, but we should probably get to sleep soon. The sun was probably going to set soon, and want to get up early to try and make up for the lost time." Techno had started walking back over to the campfire while saying this and grabbed their sleeping bag out from under the blanket and the cape that was on top of it. They walked around to the other side of the campfire and laid down the sleeping bag and sat on top of it.

I walked over to where I was reading before and picked up the banket and the book. I then started to make my way over to where I had slept before and set the book aside and curled up in the blankets.

"Hey, Ran." I hummed in response to Technoblade's attempt to get my attention.

"If I'm not awake by the time you wake up please wake me up."

"Okay." And with this Techno got inside their sleeping bag and closed their eyes. I wasn't very tired but I wanted to enjoy the warmth of the campfire, so I just sat there, snuggled up in the warmth of the campfire and the blanket.

1195 Words: I want to write fluff with Tubbo and Ranboo so much but I can't ;-; why is this taking me so long to write. For fuck's sake Tubbo doesn't even know that Ranboo exists and this is chapter 16.
