Chapter 21

*~ A Day Of Walking ~*

- Ranboo's POV -

Several hours passed of us just walking. I was still slightly paranoid because of last night's nightmare, but it wasn't as bad as last night. But I did look over my shoulder a bit more than what would be normal for the average person.

It was about a third of the way through the day when I started to grow tired. Normally I would've taken a break by now, but I decided I would go along with whatever Techno did. They probably know more than me about what you should do when you're hiking around. And so we kept on walking.

A few more hours had passed, and I had grown more tired, but not by much. It was now a little more than halfway through the day. Throughout the day, Techno and I occasionally engaged in conversation with each other. But those conversations often died out quickly.

I was hoping that it would warm up a little, but of course, that didn't happen. The cold was starting to get even more annoying.

"Hey, I think it's about time we take a break. What do you think, Ran?"

"Yeah, that sounds nice."

"Great!" With that, Techno slung off their bag and sat down on a rock after brushing the snow off of it. I did the same. Only I didn't take off my bag.

"You hungry?"

"No, not really."

"Okay, suit yourself." The piglin opened their inventory and grabbed some chicken. I'm glad they're eating something reasonable this time. After Technoblade was done eating, we sat there for a few minutes. I eventually grew bored and started humming. Techno didn't pay much attention to me humming besides giving me a quick glance when I first started.

Eventually, it came time for us to continue walking. I decided to continue humming because I had nothing better to do, and I liked the tune.

Several more hours passed, we had eventually found our way to some trees. There was less snow in the area, and the ground was very rocky. The sun was probably going to set in less than an hour.

"We should probably set up camp now." Techno took of their bag, setting on the ground, and then started to dig through it.

"Yeah."

"And by we, I mean I, so just go sit somewhere until I'm done." The piglin pulled something out of their bag.

"Okay." I found a nearby tree, sat under it, and waited until Techno finished setting up the tent and campfire. After about 20 minutes, Technoblade had finished and called me over.
