It was finally time for all the kids to arrive and I couldn't have been more grateful for my friends to be back. It was early in the morning so we still had a couple hours and I couldn't find a way to keep myself distracted until then. I decided to see if I could read about the curse that Hera cut me off from. I went over to my trunk, now able to walk on my foot without it hurting too bad. I unlocked my trunk but my eyes went wide when I didn't see the book lying where I had left it. I rummaged through my whole trunk and room and couldn't find it anywhere. Where on earth could it have gone? I was just barely getting somewhere with this whole thing. I could almost cry at the thought of having to start all over again. I hurried down to see Remus, he was in his classroom doing the finishing touches for the students. "Wowww it looks nice in here" I gawked as I walked in. "Ha, thank you very much." he laughed as he stacked some papers. "So you know that book we found." I said, walking over to his desk. He nodded as he fiddled around, "Well it disappeared." He stopped and looked up at me confused, "What do you mean?" I looked up at him and sighed, "It's gone, just disappears. I had it and was reading it before Hera freaked out, and I stuck it in my trunk and now it's gone." He thought for a moment furrowing his brows. "Did you try a spell to find it?" he questioned and I nodded. "Yup it's not here at the school anywhere. And if it is then someone made it undiscoverable." He rubbed his chin and stuck his hands in his pockets as he thought. The worst thing is that I actually found what I think was the curse I have." he looked over at me quickly, "Are you sure?" I nodded in response. "Yup pretty sure there was a flower drawn on the page and it was the same one that did this to me." he looked surprised. "Well we have to go tell Albus, do you remember what it was called?"

"What good is telling him about a book I no longer have, and yeah I think so it was 'The curse of the wicked'?" I said unsure I had it right, but Remus' face said I did. "You're lying." he said in the most serious tone I'd ever heard from him. "Am not." he rubbed his face and quickly walked over grabbing my hand and practically dragging me out to the hall. At first I thought he was taking me to see Dumbledore, "Where are we going, we are heading to Albus' office?" I asked confused trying to keep up with him. "That's because we are going to see Severus." I halted and stopped letting go of his hand. "No." he gave me a look and crossed his arms. "Y/n seriously you cant even go see him?" I shook my head, "Nope. Not only because that was his book and I stole and lost it, but because he kinda came to see me in the infirmary.'' I paused and Remus perked up, "oh really?" he uncrossed his arms, "Yes and I may have accidentally invaded his mind." he looked choked up at this comment and his eyebrows went up, "Oh, my, god. You invaded Snape's mind, how are you still alive?" he joked and I rolled my eyes. "Well it isn't the first time it's happened." he really looked shocked now, his jaw open slightly, "Oh," he got kinda quiet, "he must really like you." I looked up at him and could feel sadness wash over me. "C'mon we can go see him, just make it quick." I said taking his hand once more and walking to the dungeons. We approached his door and Remus went to knock but I just went to open it. I tried but it was locked. I knocked and no one answered. "Well he's got impeccable timing." Remus scoffed and I nodded. "Yup. Well since we will have to wait can you not say anything to Albus? I don't wanna stress anyone out more for no reason." I asked as we began to walk back, "Yes of course, just don't wait too long." he said and I nodded. "I'll let you get back to preparing, I'll catch you later." I said as he split off towards his room, "Bye." he said with a smile as he walked away. I looked back down the hall as Severus' room and sighed. I turned to head to the library to do some research and I turned bumping into a dark figure. I wanted to run for a moment, not wanting to converse with Severus. But when I looked up to my surprise it wasn't Severus, it might have been worse. "Oh I am so sorry Mr. Malfoy." I said kindly looking up at the blonde man. He raised his brow and looked down at me. "Oh, Ms.L/n. Still pestering my son are you?" he asked in a rude tone, "If you mean dating, yes I am." he didn't scoff but rather straightened up some and cleared his throat. "I'm surprised he's made it this long dealing with your kind." He rested his staff on the ground and I smiled up at him. "Oh you mean mudblood well to your surprise we are just like every other wizard." he rolled his eyes at my sarcastic comment and glared down at me. "I only allow you to date my son because you make for good arm candy, nothing more." I just nodded along sarcastically, not taking what he said to personally. For such a cruel man he was sort of handsome. That thought quickly left when I noticed he stepped closer towards me. "Listen girl, as long as you're dating my son you will do as I say and show me some respect, understand?" he practically growled. I'd be lying if I didn't feel some heat grow in my core or for lack of a more poetic term, my vagina. I let out a shaky breath and just nodded, not being able to think of any witty responses to tell him off. "Good girl." he said so nonchalantly, but I almost felt he knew what he was doing. Who am I kidding? This is Lucius Malfoy, of course he knew. I could feel my cheeks grow pink and in all seriousness, I was a little turned on. I would usually feel a little ashamed to have these feelings for my boyfriend's dad, but given Draco and I's agrangement, I didn't seem to worry too much. "I-" was all I could get out, still dumbfounded, looking like an idiot in front of this man. I never got like this with Severus because all we would do is argue. But this man seemed to know just what to say to make me forget all my words. Just then we heard someone scoff from behind Lucius. I hadn't even seen the brooding professor approaching. "Lucius, bothering all the 7th year girls are you?" Severus said in a annoyed and sarcastic tone as he walked by glaring at lucius, he looked down and stopped for a moment when he realized it was me. He looked at me for a moment studying my face. "I can assure you Ms. L/n does not want to converse with you any longer, Run along child." He said shooing me away. I understand he was committed to his part in being his normal professor self, but going as far as shooing me like I was some dog, he knew better. I looked into his eyes and tried to read his body language. His shoulders were back and his hands were clasped in front of him with his brow raised. He was confident because he thought he was saving me from Lucius. I laughed to myself and crossed my arms and smiled. "Actually I was enjoying Lucius and i's conversation very much before you came over and interrupted us." I retorted, Snape dropped his face and gave me a blank stare slowly furrowing his brows. We both looked at Lucius and he was staring down at me with his brow raised and a small smirk on his face. I could practically feel his thoughts, I didn't need to read his mind to know what he was thinking either. He slowly looked over to Severus and dropped the smirk to glare back at him. Now I was just third wheeling a pissing contest. Lucius looked over at me when he saw me roll my eyes. "What did I say about respect little girl?" I almost dropped to the floor from my knees giving out when he slithered that name in there. I felt my cheeks redden again along with the heat down below. The daddy issues mixed with my recent heartbreak left me extra vulnerable to pet names and praise. "What are you even doing here Lucius?" Severus growled. "I came to drop off Draco before all the other students arrive and have a word with you." he said calmly, Severus gave him a look and I could feel the tension between them, it was smothering. But somehow they seemed to be comfortable around each other. Severus hummed, "Well leave Ms. L/n alone and make your way to my classroom." Severus said in a heavy tone, Lucius could really push his buttons. "I believe im allowed to converse with my sons girlfriend Severus." Severus looked over at me as if to say 'oh right' I stared into his dark eyes and grew sad, I could see he was stressed and tired and having to deal with Lucius wasn't helping. I felt bad for letting myself get so flustered by Lucius in front of Severus, but then I remembered he was the one that pushed me out. Lucius looked back over at me and gave me a small but cocky smirk, "Go on and meet up with my son sweetie." my eyes widened a little and I opened my mouth in shock. Quickly composing myself and trying to not get more flustered and turned on than I was. "Yes Sir." I quipped with a smile, finally being able to think of a response. Lucius' smirk grew and we passed a fiery glance. Severus was very angry when he realized what was happening. I spared myself the pain and turned and walked away, not looking at Severus.
