AS THE TWO MEN walked beside each other in the dead of night, they kept up a great conversation, the bond between karl and techno forming as they expressed their common interests with passion.
when karl explained himself earlier, techno imagined a reflection of his situation with trying to keep an obsessive wilbur at bay, making him sympathize with karl as he could feel that that exact situation was also happening to karl with sapnap. the two men obviously wanted to protect y/n, making sure they were okay.
as techno listened to karl talking with more excitement in his voice, he couldn't help but think about the brunette from the greater dream smp. he doesn't deserve to be hustling with these people techno thought to himself. he quickly came to the conclusion that karl has the same personality as a golden retriever by the way he talked fast, radiating warmth and happiness, and also by the way he dressed. although he wouldn't admit it, he liked the energy karl gave off. it surprisingly brought comfort to the blood god's stone cold, icy heart.
it somewhat reminded him of tommy, both energetic and always up for adventure. once they arrived at techno's cottage, techno held his house key, unlocking the door and opening it, letting karl in first. "ladies first." karl giggled at techno's humor and gladly took some strides in, automatically feeling a change in temperature.
"forgot to tell ya. i always have the fireplace on since you know.. snow." techno said blatantly, closing the door behind him and batting some traces of snow from off his boots. karl nodded, slipping off his shoes and his sweater, revealing a long sleeve button-up underneath the layer.
techno carefully put y/n's body down on the living room couch, staring down at them before looking towards karl. "make yourself comfortable. do you need anything?" techno asked. "um could i have some water please?" karl asked, making techno nod.
techno swiftly took off his cloak like he always did, hanging it on the hook on the wall before walking into the kitchen, pouring fresh water into a glass, and then coming back to the living room, finding karl sitting cross-legged on the floor by the couch, holding y/n's hand.
