"Her eyes
stole my heart
her smile
gave me life
her presence
made me high
her touch
left me breathless."

Taraa's POV

Partially because I already had a sleeping marathon, and partially because of the latest incident, I couldn't sleep at night.

I knew that no matter how far I pushed the memories and my past away, they will eventually resurface. So, after much thought, I got up and switched on my laptop.

Baek Do-hyun. I typed.

The results appeared. It was the same person. There was no doubt about it.

How is he still alive?

Links after links, I clicked and read.

I need to sort all this out. What had happened over the years?

I noted down the address of Baek Do-hyun's lawyer.

I must meet him tomorrow.

My head started aching, so I closed the laptop and shut my eyes.

It was again the same dimly-lit basement. I could hear loud, evil laughter at a distance. I tried to get up and go near the window, but my legs failed me.

I felt a stinging sensation on my leg, making me scratch it harshly in return. I dig my fingernails so deep into the skin that a little blood oozed out.

I scratched it more, and due to the sudden pain, my eyes shot open.

I was met with the cream-coloured ceiling of my room. I looked at my finger, and although there was no blood on it like in my dream, my leg was still stinging. I switched on the lamp and saw a flying mosquito.

"Because of you, I woke up from that horrible dream. So I am not gonna kill you, mosquito." I said to it.

I had immersed myself so much into the incident, that a dream about my past was bound to come. This time I was saved by a mosquito bite, but I didn't know if it would happen again.

I knew myself. I knew how I loose myself everytime I get these nightmares.

Jungkook was the only one who was aware about my nightmares and no one has ever handled me in that state better than him. I believed that it would only be a risk if I slept alone again.

I was craving his presence.

So, I got up and went to Jungkook's room. I entered his room without bothering to knock, found him sleeping soundly with a small pout on his lips and somehow managed to find space to lie down beside him, given that he was sprawled on all his fours.

I remember waking up again in the middle of night, and the light hushes and soft pats that Jungkook gave me, which lulled me to sleep.

His embrace became my solace and his heartbeat a lullaby, pulsating loudly in my ears.
