He gasped for air.
The league of villains and a liberated all for one. And someone lying on the ground.
Maybe dead.
His stomach ached and everything was spinning.
A terrible nightmare that was. No one was around him and the frosty window was still intact this time.
He stumbled to his feet while grabbing glass of water. Things quickly calmed down. His breathing began to return to a steadier pace. A glance at his clock showed that it was 5:45 in the morning.
The nightmare still haunted him and wasn't going away; he needed to clear his mind.
After a quick change of clothes, Midoriya headed outside for a run. It was very cold and snow hugged the ground. The air around him became cloudy from his deep and fast breathing. If he just ran a couple of laps around the campus maybe things would be better.
******
"Midoriya! Are you okay?"
He looked to his side and saw Kendo running up from behind him.
"Kendo? What are you doing up so early?"
"I always go for a morning jog. But then I saw you and thought something was wrong."
He stuttered slightly before replying.
"I..uhh had a rough night and decided to stop sleeping."
"I'm sorry to hear that, what happened," She asked as they continued to jog.
The last thing he wanted to think about was the nightmare that he was trying to clear his head of. But he also wanted to be transparent.
"I'd rather not talk about it."
"Well I can see that its weighing you down; c'mon you can jog with me if you'd like and talk about it."
He agreed and the two traveled through the cold snow as the sun rose. As they did, Kendo seemed to moving ever so slightly closer to him; he could feel her body heat more than the sunlight. Or maybe it was from running. She smiled a lot as they chatted and he could feel one growing his face too.
After several laps, the two returned to the dorms. He wanted to keep running with her but his body had the last word.
"We should do this more often, you're a fun guy to be with," Kendo blurted out. Her face instantly turned red as she became embarrassed. She covered her mouth as he blushed in surprise.
"Uhh yeah so are you; tomorrow morning?"
"Same time?"
"Sounds great."
"See you then!"
They went their ways and left the cold outdoor; Midoriya decided he needed a shower and think about what she just said.
At least she cleared his mind.
Well with something else.
As the water flowed over his body, his heart was beating fast and not just from jogging. He met up with a girl who had a generous and sweet personality and gorgeous hair coupled with a-gah!
What was he thinking? Kendo was a class 1B student and he wasn't. They hadn't really spent a lot of time together, although they had seen each other indirectly at the sports festival, the training camp and the joint training exercise. She was strong and had a good quirk plus she was very focused on her studies.
Kendo didn't harbor the same rivalry energy as did others like Monoma. She was a voice of reason and rationale which made sense considering she was the big sister of class 1B. This girl had a lot to like and a lot going for her.
And she enjoyed being with him.
But did she mean it in a friends way or something more? Considering that she turned red and covered her mouth, maybe she said too much?
He turned off the water and dried off. Midoriya couldn't help but think that he had been developing feelings for her. What was he going to do?
