Part 2: chapter 12

Beomgyu stirred his tea cup with a blank expression, the spoon making tapping noises against the porcelain mug. Jaemin, who was sitting in front of him at the table, just admired him, taking the advantage of the fact that Beomgyu couldn't see him staring.

"Your order, sir", they were both jolted back to reality when the waiter arrived at their table and placed a cup of cappuccino on the table before Jaemin and the latter thanked him to appear polite before the waiter could leave.

Well, Beomgyu had decided to be stronger than his emotions, so he met him again because he still needed the male to find whatever he was looking for. He couldn't be selfish and think about himself when Taehyun was getting closer and closer to the danger which was waiting ahead of him. Even if Taehyun didn't want him anymore, Beomgyu first needed to make sure that he would be safe, then he would get lost from his life forever.

Jaemin returned his gaze to the raven-haired male, parting his lips, "My company has the fifth anniversary tonight and we're celebrating", the information managed to grab Beomgyu's attention, drawing his eyes to the boy, "I would really love to take you there with me, but my employees may tell Sungjin about it even though each of them is clueless about you. I can't risk getting caught"

Beomgyu had already known that information for quite a long time and he had decided that he would have to somehow get into the company. At least it was the company which had a contract with Sungjin. Beomgyu was sure he could find something interesting there, so there was no way he was letting go of that possibility.

"Hmm", he hummed, looking down at his tea as he swayed the spoon in the hot liquid, "Would be interesting"

Jaemin nodded his head, his lips drawing in a thin line, "I know, I'm sorry", he said, apologetic.

"You said that you wanted a relationship with me", Beomgyu said blankly, looking at the male straight in the eye, "Are you really going to hide me forever even if we become boyfriends again?"

Jaemin was totally taken aback by the question and he fell into silence. Beomgyu observed him sharply as the older male squirmed in his seat uncomfortably, his face looking flustered which was totally appealing to the younger boy, "I-it's not forever", he said, "Just until I don't get-"

"No, Doyun", Beomgyu cut him off, shaking his head from side to side, "I've just quitted one relationship that left many scars in my heart and for starting another, I need to be sure that it's not going to be messed like the past one was and that I'm not going to get hurt again"

Jaemin fixed his position in his seat and shook his head at once to deny the younger's words, "Beomgyu, if you are mine, I'll do anything to make sure that you won't be hurt"

Beomgyu let out a bitter chuckle, his eyes lowering to the table, to the place where he was drawing circles with his index finger, "That's just words if your actions don't say the same"

"Okay", Jaemin groaned in defeat as he pinched the bridge of his nose, shutting his eyes for a moment in frustration, "Okay, then come with me to the celebration party"

Beomgyu felt victory arising in him. It wasn't surprising though. He had that natural skill to always get what he wanted.

"But we need to do something, so no one in the world will be able to recognise you"

Beomgyu nodded his head in approval. He didn't want to be recognised by any of Sungjin's men or acquaintances either.

"How are we going to do that?"

Jaemin looked him in the eyes, a small smirk playing on his lips, "You need to dress up as a girl"
