Part 2: chapter 47

A few hours earlier

Rose smirked as she slipped the phone, she had stolen from one of Hwasa's pack members, into the pocket of her pants, so no one would be able to notice it. Everyone's attention was drawn to Yeonjun anyways because the male was talking to them about important stuff and they needed to be very attentive in order to avoid making fatal mistakes. So Rose absolutely took advantage of the situation and stood behind the crowd. She turned her back to everyone, so one would be able to see her holding a phone as she was typing the message in it.

Rose deleted the message as soon as it got sent to Sungjin and typed another one.

"𝑇𝒉𝑒𝑦 𝑓𝑜𝑟𝑐𝑒𝑑 𝑚𝑒 𝑡𝑜 𝑡𝑒𝑙𝑙 𝑦𝑜𝑢 𝑎 𝑙𝑖𝑒. 𝐷𝑜𝑛'𝑡 𝑚𝑒𝑒𝑡 𝑀𝑖𝑛𝑠𝑢. 𝑇𝒉𝑒𝑦'𝑟𝑒 𝑤𝑎𝑡𝑐𝒉𝑖𝑛𝑔 𝑦𝑜𝑢"

Rose sent that message too, but unlike the previous one, she didn't delete it. She kept it. Then she quickly put the phone back into her back pocket, mentally smirking as she stepped to the tree nearby to lean against it.

A few minutes later

An unstoppable series of sobs choked the purple-haired male as he stomped forward with hasty and angry steps, his face completely flushed and tear-stained. He was feeling hurt, like dying, because he'd been just informed that his brother was dead. His only brother. The only member of his family. How did that even happen? How could Yeonjun let him risk his life and die and told him nothing about it? He was feeling betrayed and angry. He wanted to shout at the world, at literally anyone he would see, but instead, he was being choked by his own tears and his heart was on the edge of exploding. Even though Yeonjun was assuring him earlier that he would save Taehyun, all Soobin could think about was death. How was Yeonjun even going to save him if he was already dead? Soobin knew perfectly that it was impossible for a dead person to turn into a werewolf.

Even the idea of his brother becoming another creature was terrifying the boy. It felt weird, too strange and creepy. He had spent his entire life with Taehyun, with a brother who was a human like him and Soobin couldn't imagine him being a werewolf. It felt like he was going to become a completely another person like that and Soobin didn't want that.

He walked to Yeonjun's car, attempting to sit inside while wiping his tears, but then he remembered that he didn't have the keys, so he kneeled down while leaning against the door with his back, hugging his knees, so he could protect himself from the chilly weather in the environment.

His eyes were bloodshot as they stared forward, but he wasn't looking at anything, he was completely lost in his own head.

He was only snapped back to reality after a few minutes when he heard some noise coming from the back of the car. Soobin tried to not pay attention to it, thinking it was Rose making noise in the trunk, but then the second sound came from the front side of the car and Soobin got really frightened this time, his red-rimmed eyes widening in fear.
