After tossing so much in the middle of the night, Su Jingyang only managed to fall asleep when the sky was pitch black. He slept very heavily, and when he woke up, he found a pair of powerful arms hugging him from behind.

When he was about to turn over, his ears picked up a familiar voice saying in a low tone: "I heard that someone's sister-in-law was very fierce." 

"Fuck off." Su Jingyang stabbed him with an elbow. The reason why he said that was only to exert authority,  who wanted to be that little boy's sister-in-law?

Su Jingyang said, "I'm his uncle!"

Su Jingyang's meagre strength had no effect on Rong Ci, Rong Ci smiled and kissed his cheek, he patted him on the shoulder and helped him up, "Alright, Uncle Su, it's getting late, so wake up and eat something."

Su Jingyang washed up and had breakfast in the dining room. He ate and listened to Rong Ci's words, only to realize that Rong Ci had already personally investigated last night's matter. Rong Xia confessed everything, saying that the cutting of his hair wasn't planned, he didn't want to cast an evil curse but instead wanted to threaten him later and force him to leave Rongcheng.

Su Jingyang shook his head after hearing, the child really thought his problem was his innocence. He took another mouthful of porridge before saying: "What's the use of him doing this? Does he think I can be threatened to leave by him so easily?"

Rong Ci said, "Yes, he underestimated your ingenuity. He walked into that one."

"Are you taunting me again?" Su Jingyang rolled his eyes at him. Rong Ci saw that his porridge bowl was empty and gave him a little more, he then touched his head and said with a gentle smile: "I'm praising you, you were so vigilant. If you want to continue maintaining the prestige of the City Lord's wife, then you shouldn't be afraid of anyone."

"As it should be."

Su Jingyang ate a piece of shortbread, glanced at his face several times, and couldn't hold back the urge. There was a hint of suspicion in his eyes. He lowered his voice and asked him, "Are you really sure Mrs Ru didn't instigate him? I heard Rong Hua say that this woman had harmed you before. I was afraid that she instigated the child to do bad things."

Rong Ci shook his head and said confidently: "It's not her. She doesn't dare repeat the same tricks now, otherwise, it'll be on her son's life."

Su Jingyang still looked unclear and serious, guessing what Rong Ci must've done, but he didn't continue to ask anymore. It was all connected to the mysterious magic skills of the Rong clan. "What are you going to do with the kid?"

Su Jingyang I thought that Rong Ci would consider it as the momentary ignorance of the child's mind and that he would be released after being locked in a room for at most two or three days, but who knew that he would order Rong Xia to be detained from the inner palace to a dark prison, to be fully imprisoned for three months!

Su Jingyang was a little dumbfounded. Although Rong Ci wasn't very eager with Rong Xia, he still regarded him as his younger brother, but now he wanted to put the ten-year-old Rong Xia in a dark cell.

Rong Ci looked at his somewhat unexpected expression, grabbing his hand and asking, "Soft-hearted?"

Su Jingyang hurriedly shook his head, "No, I'm just a little surprised. After all, you said yourself said that your father owes Mrs Ru a great favour, I thought you would..."

Rong Ci stared at him and said: "According to Rongcheng's law, one should take legal responsibility for one's actions after the age of ten years. He dared to attack you last night and I only let him stay in a dark prison for three months, this is already a small punishment and a big admonition."
