Chapter TwentyEight
Timothy Anderson
Los Angeles, California - Three Weeks Later

Me, Mariah, Kayla and Amber sat at my dad restaurant, chilling.

Yeah, Amber. I apologized for the shit with Syren and explained how everything is between us and her issue with my sisters. I even showed her messages. Amber said she wasn't tripping about it but until I got my situation handled we could be friends. I ain't tripping, as long as I can have her around me, I'm good.

"Aye, anybody talked to Mya?" I asked. She's been completely MIA ever since everything that happened during her birthday.

"No, I've called her, text her. No response." Kayla said.

"Same." Mariah added. "I went by the house, she even changed the code on the gate." She shrugged.

"I just wanted to make sure she was straight, this ain't like her." I said.

"I mean, everything was crazy for days after that. She's probably still trying to process it all."

"Yeah, but I just want to talk to her."

"What about Chris? Anybody heard from him?" Kayla asked.

"I talked to him last week. He said he just been working."

"What y'all think gone happen with them? I really hope they can work through this."

"If they can get past him having a threesome while she was pregnant, I'm sure they'll get through this." Mariah said. "But I don't think the process needs to be rushed or shit will just keep repeating itself."

Exhaling, I sat back. I was right next to Mya at her party, I should've stopped her. I saw her flirting with the girl but honestly I didn't think shit was gonna go past that. When they kissed it was just shocking and when I snapped out of it, I made sure I did pull Mya back and told her it was time to go.

When I say Mya was out of it, she was gone. I don't even think she knew what she was doing. I feel guilty though because we knew she was drunk, we should've stepped in.

Getting up from my seat, I headed to the kitchen to talk to my parents. Maybe they know what's going on with Mya.

"Wassup." I said while walking in.

"Hey son." My dad said.

"Hey Tim, I didn't even know you were here." My mom hugged me.
