Cold. Freezing cold. Spreading across my shoulders, sliding down my back, around to my stomach, titillating my hips and legs. Like an ice blanket wrapped across my body, like a polar plunge into the arctic ocean. Cold as ice, frostbite. I open my eyes and close them again. Everything was white. Blindingly bright. All around. Snow. I open my eyes again, blinking a few times to adjust. I am being dragged through the snow, my hands are in chains above my head. It's cold.

"Oh, look whose finally awake."

His voice echoes louder than usual. I wriggle, attempting to yank my hands free, attempting to summon a ball of dark energy. It doesn't work.

"It's no use," says Morro, leaning over me so I can see his face. "It's Vengestone."

I scrunch up my nose and spit at him. It lands on his cheek and he narrows his eyes, wiping it away.

"That wasn't very ladylike."

"Who said I was a lady?"

"Oh, she speaks. Delightful." Morro crosses his arms and rolls his eyes.

"Where are you taking me?" I ask, settling into the snow that has become my bed.

"None of your business," he snaps.

"We're going to the Cloud Kingdom, aren't we," I say, smirking slightly.

"Shut up and go back to sleep."

I chuckle. "Am I getting under your skin, Morro? Oh, wait, you don't have any skin."

With a roar of rage, Morro unleashes a gust of wind that radiates from his body. It sends the snow around us swirling, makes my hair blow around my face. I grimace as the tiny white flakes spray my cheeks and eyes. Oh, so cold.

"Keep moving," Morro shouts to his ghostly friends, and I am being dragged through the snow once more.

"So they are following us," says Morro, retracting his telescope.

"We're too far ahead. They'll never catch us," says the Soul Archer dismissively.

Morro grimaces, shaking his head slightly. He looks weaker than before, weaker than when we fought on that island, weaker than when I first woke up.

"What is it, Morro?" asks the only female ghost, Bansha.

"Lloyd's spirit continues to fight my possession," says Morro. "He's getting stronger."

A smirk crawls across my face.

"Bah! You have already lost the Allied Armor, we cannot fail to secure the Sword of Sanctuary!" Bansha yells.

"We could go faster if you abandon Lloyd's body and his prisoner sister. These winds don't affect us Ghosts," says Soul Archer.

Bansha nods in agreement. "Our master would want us to--"

"The Preeminent is not here," Morro snarls, "I am. And need I remind you only a Spinjitzu Master can find the tomb? If I leave Lloyd's body now, the Sword would be useless. As for Tasha, she is too powerful for us to let her go. Our master sent me to find the tomb, so until she's freed, you serve me. Understand?"

"Yes, Morro," the two ghosts say in unison.

"At least let me slow them down," Bansha suggests. "You summoned us for a reason."

"Very well," Morro says. "Send them a message. Something they'll hear loud and clear."

Then Bansha screams; a loud, ear-piercing shriek that makes my head feel like it's about to explode. I'd cover my ears if I could, but seeing as my hands are still chained above my head, I'm forced to take on the high frequencies unassisted. Even after she's finished, my ears still ring, and something warm runs down the side of my neck--Blood. She made my ears bleed.
