"Have you discovered a way to prevent me from facing my Father?" Lloyd asks as he pulls away.

"I'm sorry, not yet. But I have reason to believe there's still hope," Mom replies.

I open my mouth to ask my own question when a loud boom sounds behind us. We all turn to see a monstrous Stone Warrior, at least twenty feet tall, and a sword in each of it's four arms. It's face is painted red and black to match the armor and helmet it wears. It lets out a roar as it smashes it's body against the entrance to the room once again.

"Woah! Excuse me!" Jay screams. "Would somebody please tell me what the heck is that!"

"The Stone Warrior," Mom answers.

"The devourer's venom has awakened him!" Zane exclaims.

"Oh, great!" Cole shouts. "Kai, take care of him!"

"Me?" Kai asks, voice shaky. He takes a deep breath, pulls on his mask and charges into battle. "Ok, block head, take this!"

Kai jumps into the air and swings his sword. The Stone Warrior swings his in return. The two swords collide, emitting a bright orange light and sending Kai flying backwards, his sword shattered.

Kai stares at the broken weapon, perplexed. "Well, in my mind's eye, I saw that playing out entirely differently."

The Stone Warrior growls and grabs Kai's foot, lifting him high into the air.

"The Overlord created his Stone Army from and indestructible material only found on the Dark Island," Mom says.

"Great," Kai grunts. "You could've mentioned that earlier."

"Hey!" I shout. "Drop my boyfriend, right now!"

The Stone Warrior cocks it's head to the side, almost as if it understands me, before tossing Kai behind him as if he was a Barbie doll. I wince slightly when I hear the breaking of glass and Kai's pained 'oof'. Not what I meant, mister Stone Giant.

"Lloyd, use your powers," Uncle instructs.

Lloyd nods, shuts his eyes and summons a ball of energy. He allows the green power to grow bigger and bigger until it's diameter roughly matches the height of the Stone Warrior. He aggressively throws the massive ball, green flames in it's wake. The Stone Warrior is knocked to the ground. Everyone cheers triumphantly, but I know it's not over yet.

The Stone Warrior stands up, muttering angrily in a language I cannot understand. It hasn't been harmed at all, not even a dent in it's helmet. It steps through the green flames, shaking its swards defiantly.

"Wait a minute! How are we supposed to destroy this thing?" Cole wails.

"You cant," Mom replies solemnly.

Cole, Zane and Jay pull on their masks before charging at the Warrior. Mom holds Lloyd and I back. Zane throws his Shurikens, but the warrior knocks them away before kicking Cole to the ground. Jay attacks with his nun-chucks, only to be thrown back by the Stone Warrior's sword. The Stone Warrior growls triumphantly as it moves to step on Jay. Jay backflips away, just before the Stone Warrior smashes him.

"Easy big guy," he chuckles, "maybe this is a sign you need to loose a few pounds."

The Warrior stomps his foot, knocking Jay down again. Jay slides across the tile floor until he is hanging precariously over the bottomless pit. Uncle tosses me his Bo Staff and I offer it to Jay to grab. He takes it and I pull him back up.

"Close call," he says.

Zane charges towards the Stone Warrior, jumping into the air to kick him, but he's knocked away and thrown into the hall. It doesn't take long for the warrior to throw everyone into the hall--everyone except me. It leaves me standing in my corner, watching me curiously. I make a run for it, sprinting as fast as I can towards the door. It doesn't try to stop me; The Stone Warrior just let me go.
