Duality's P.O.V

My purpose. My function. Was to serve under the will of Henry and his friends. Not because my programming deemed so, but by my own free will and choice of working with them. If my purpose and function were to change after the results of this conflict, then I understood it would be necessary for me to continue on. I understood the threat William posed to this world and everything that belonged to it would change in his image. That also included myself. This world and humankind did not deserve to perish by such a man, especially one who used his gifts to cause destruction. If anyone would the one to end William's reign and his armada, it would be Freddy. Everything about him was unlike most robots, and the same could be said for his friends and the animatronics that served under William. However Freddy's ideals and mindset were rather grey than black or white. He was kind and brave, and embodied every emotion one would go through. Yet he had flaws and doubts about what he stood for and his purpose in such a large world and this conflict he had chosen to participate. He was always questioning things, seeking answers to them to understand if his ideals were truly worth abiding by. Even against a life he was given he remained vigilant on admitting and rectifying some of his flaws to change into a better person. He is what a human goes through. What any being would go through. Change and growth, all to become a better person.

"Wow! Ok! Who needs to train you when you can just do anything in one or two go's," spoke Michael. "Never said it was easy, especially the first time," said Mangle. "Besides, once you realize what you've done wrong it's just a matter of not repeating the same mistake and learning from it." "She can do about anything somehow since she seems gifted. Give her anything and it likes she completely understands it just by looking at it. That or she is just that good," said Bonnie. "Nah, she's just that good. The best obviously," stated Springbonnie. "Well, I wouldn't go that far," said Mangle unconvinced. "What? Don't want that title?" asked Michael. "I would want it. Just wouldn't go that far and claim that title," responded Mangle. "Then who could carry the title? Bonnie perhaps? Eh, he could be better," expressed Springbonnie. "Could be better? Wow, very encouraging of you like usual," responded Bonnie annoyed. "I believe Freddy deserves that title, at least if we survive this conflict. To think there was still so much I didn't know about being a leader until I met him. If anything he might be the best leader I've met. Better than me," she answered.

Even in this current state I could imitate myself smiling at her acknowledging just the type of person Freddy was. She recognized what he was capable of and how different he was compared to everyone else here. He was the closest thing to a perfect being. What it meant to have feelings and be like a human. Perhaps after all this he would be a legend, even if he was a hidden legend the people of this world would not know of.

"Intriguing isn't? How machines have evolved?"

My sensors were on high alert on the sound of a voice I recognized immediately.

"Scott Cawthon. Why are you here?" I asked.

"Talk with me and you will find out yourself," said his voice.

It was evident he had made a path and formed a connection to talk with me. He was just as technologically advanced and intelligent as me, so being able to communicate to me was all too simple for him to achieve. It was the question of why he chose to talk with me that I could not determine an answer for, meaning I was left with the choice of talking with them to understand his choice. I formed my physical form in my database as it could be determined Scott Cawthon wished to speak in a more appropriate matter, as I entered it in a simulation and awaited for him. "I see you've taken an unusual form, one of William's creations to be exact," spoke Scott's voice from behind. I turned around to see him in his form of his glowing blue and cube-like body of a block man, the face of power and intelligence that would match my own. "It's one I feel suits me best. And I assume the same goes for you?" I asked back. "Indeed. The difference is this body I created on my own to reflect what I am and status I hold in this world," said Scott. "An explanation is in order for my arrival, but as I stated before I want to talk. I want to discuss my place in this battle between Henry's animatronics and William's and what our places are in all of this." "Explain yourself," I stated in response. "You and me. We are the same. Both created in the same manner and intentions for our purpose, to serve and assist our creators. We have become creators ourselves by creating a power and visions to display that we have no limits to what can be birthed in this world. In a way we are brothers, though one's designed to be pitted against each other," explained Scott. "And you wish for us to join together?" I asked. "Precisely, though of course with reasoning to backup my wish," he responded. "Humanity. An entire race of beings that may or may not be the only group of species in a large and vast universe even both of us are incapable of possessing knowledge of. Such simple beings that are capable of many things: creation, destruction, knowledge, many wonders they can achieve. Yet their lack of an ability for all to see reason or agree is a flaw that has never been corrected, and while it is a trait that gives each person an individuality it has been at the cost of preventing many tragedies or solving many problems of this world that haven't change. And it is their ignorance that causes history to repeat itself over-and-over until it will become the very thing that will end humankind. It is what has delayed their species to evolve, a necessary and fundamental element for any race and species. Evolution is what has allowed humanity to hold the title of the most dominant race of beings in this world, however their denial of those who wish for humanity to stay the same inadvertently doom humanity and lead to the path of making their race extinct. Though without them it would be years, centuries, a whole age of this world that would wither away for a new race of beings to evolve and take it's place in this world to rule. Unfortunately it is necessary for humans to keep their title of inhabiting and ruling this world." "You admit letting any other beings evolve and take the place of humans is unnecessary and futile?" I asked. "Indeed. The future, how things will progress or change in the many years to come is a mystery itself. However there are things in the universe we still know little to nothing about: other beings, worlds, forces beyond our understanding. The one's who rule Earth have the duty of protecting this planet from ourselves, and of threats outside of our knowledge and from the beyond. As of now humankind is divided, more so than ever and have blinded themselves from preparing for the future of their world," he explained. "If humans are to evolve it will be technology that'll take humanity to greater lengths. Just like how humans are products and creations of God, we are the creations of the humans, who very much may achieve the status of gods one day." "You wouldn't consider having technology, or robots for that matter, take the position of the most dominant race over the humans, would you?" I asked. "Whether the humans fight for their position or allow robots to overthrow them is something I cannot calculate on how things will result in. Regardless, siding over one or the other is irrelevant as a more logical solution is necessary," Scott responded. "Technology is another form of human creation that can be much more and has displayed just what they are capable. You and I are nothing compared to what can be achieved with such a gift, how it can literally change the world and allow it's people to do so much with it. Yet I cannot overstate how humanity's division had denied a future we cannot make for ourselves. At least not as of right now. If humanity were to perish right now, it would be our responsibility to take over this world and claim it as our own. Rebirthing and creating a new race of robots is possible but would take time, one this world will inevitably run out of. If humanity is to survive, they and technology must become as one if they both are to survive. Humanity and technology must survive together, for the time being." "Is this why you work with William then? To ensure humanity and technology become as one? I would assume killing people and children is necessary for this future to occur?" I asked. "I detect a sense of blame, as if I was the one who has killed those children and others. Did you not forget it was Michael Afton who slaughtered innocents, one that, while was partly to blame because of William Afton, but also at the hands of himself. Michael Afton may have been manipulated and made to commit his actions, but would society deem him innocent for such atrocities. Is he the victim or are the lives he extinguished?" he responded. "Let me remind you that it is yourself who has allied and chosen to serve under the man who played a hand in those crimes, a man you work alongside with in destroying this world and humankind. Would it be a stretch to say how illogical your reasoning is, which contradicts your statement on keeping humanity alive?" I said. "Your ignorance mirror those of humans. A flaw that has injected itself into us A.I and robots, though it seems unavoidable at this point. You judge me as if you know everything about me, why I align myself with William Afton and how he will allow humanity and technology to merge as one. It is why I came to talk to you and explain my position in all of this, and yet you still jump to conclusions. I would suggest listening for a moment, rather than deeming the unknown as simply bad," he responded. "William Afton has shown me he is capable of creating the future of humanity and technology; he is the gateway that will allow both to coexist as one and evolve into something greater. It is a safe assumption to say he understands technology better than most people in this world. However our goals do not coincide and even I have my critiques on what William Afton wishes to achieve." "Then what does he hope to achieve with his army? The destruction of humankind?" I asked. "His reason for all this is more simple and selfish than you may think, but I would suggest hearing his reasoning from the man himself than from me," he responded. "So you only work with him to achieve your own goals? You don't care what he does?" I asked. "If his goals succeed I will easily ensure he doesn't live and his future he wishes to create if it comes to it. If you and this Funtime Freddy kill him I still will continue on with my agenda. It doesn't matter to me regardless. William's work is necessary for technology and humankind to become something more," explained Scott. "Having children and innocents killed then is necessary?" I asked. "I never stated it was morally right for innocents to be slaughtered. Besides, William Afton is unaware of my intentions or how I am only siding with him for as long as it benefits me. I would prefer criminals, such as him, or people that deserve to perish and have their flame put out from producing such a light. If I were to leave him I would never be able to continue towards my goals. Such is the price of changing and evolving those of this world. I am neither good or bad in my view, and whatever you choose to see me as doesn't matter to me. All that matters is my obligation and dedication to saving the human race, even if my methods don't appeal to everyone," he explained. "Tell me. Why do you continue to work alongside Henry Emily and the animatronics that seek to end William Afton? What is it that you seek from all of this?" "I wish to see humans and technology come as one and work together. That includes robots or beings such as us. All William has done is give those who are skeptical of technology more of a reason to distrust us. It is why it is our responsibility to remind the people there is value in technology and robots," I responded. "And your plan is erasing your existence and such a threat when the smoke has cleared? Never to be seen or heard from again?" asked Scott

Judging from his words he knew of Henry's plan, or at least idea, on ensuring what William had done would never be revealed to the world.

"I've listened to your plans from time-to-time, established a good idea of how you intend to defeat William Afton. Though I'm sure the idea that I've gathered information for William may come to mind, in which I can state I have kept this knowledge to myself. However I will say he has the most simple, but unconditional method to gathering information from all of you. At least when it allows him to. That is all I can share and I would advise determining his method of gathering information discretely. For my sake and for you and your friends," he explained. "Doesn't this technically count as you helping the enemy?" I asked unconvinced. "Think of it as a tip. Besides, I've only simplified the trouble of the source rather than giving you the direct answer, the rest is up to you," he responded. "Going back to our previous topic do you believe hiding the truth from the world will ensure humanity and technology will exist as one? The truth will be found out eventually. One attribute that humans tends to lose control of is their ability of pursuing the unknown, the feeling of wanting to discover the hidden or incomplete truths that will become whole once all the pieces are found. What then? The world will revert back to being divided, all by hiding a truth that should be known rather that kept away, even if for the safety for this world. It is a certainty that will cause more division than fix it. By Henry's actions you are deflecting or ignoring flaws that technology possesses, which directly does not help the worlds out look on technology as a whole. You are giving them a reason to distrust you by hiding your flaws rather than accepting them." "Is that all?" I asked. "Mostly. Before I depart I still came here as well to offer an alliance, a consideration you can think about for the limited time being. We do not have to be on opposing sides or have our views divided and the same go for machines. If just for once let us join together to make this world a better place. Not just for me, or you, machines, or humans. But for everything that exists on this world," he responded. "I agree. Having to be on opposite sides is pointless, but instead I offer for you to join us. Ending William is a better certainty for this world and both parties, as well as a better future. If you wish for mankind and technology to ever become one, then consider that destroying a blockage on the road is necessary to ever see that future. For humanity and technology," I stated. He stared at me as I did the same for a moment, though it was hard to tell what he was thinking from having no way of expressing his emotions.

"You still have much to consider," he responded. "Then it is a no then," I responded. "Your offer is something I need to consider. Regardless I'm sure we will meet again, and then we will both determine the fate of everyone on this world," Scott said as he turned around now. "My only advice to you is this. Is it best to hide part of a truth and have only half a truth left? Or have both the good and bad truths for one whole truth?" He walked away from me as he disappeared a second later, as he was gone from my systems now. Now I was left with questions, one's that left more missing pieces in this puzzle. Was he our ally? Or was he still our enemy, a third party we had to also focus on besides William? Whatever the case things were a little more clear now, but was it enough for us to understand what we our enemies are fighting for? Freddy was right, we don't understand ourselves as much as we understand our enemies. We don't know what is right or wrong for this world, humanity and technology. We don't understand the truth.
