Henry Emily's P.O.V

Work. Doing my job. The future of humankind and the innocent that couldn't protect themselves. That's all that mattered. I couldn't stop now, not until the job was done. Even though I could feel the heaviness in my eyes from the lack of sleep I had to ignore the feeling. It had been a while since I haven't gotten much rest for this long, but it was necessary so I could get my work done with the time I... No, the time this world had left. If I had to sacrifice my sleep and do my part so the animatronics would be able to succeed and defeat William, then so be it. It was either giving up and doing nothing, allowing William to end everything, or stand up to his crimes and have him burn in hell for everything he has done.

I stopped to the sound of a knock on the door as I shifted my body in my chair over towards the direction of it. "Come in," I said permitting whoever it was. The door opened as I could see my daughter and Helpy at the doorway, though as for their reason for talking with me I was about to find out. "Something just came up, and you're probably not going to like it," said Helpy at once. "Explain," I responded. "That Scott Cawthon A.I. He just talked with Duality. Directly, face-to-face. They literally made contact," said Helpy. "What was the result of it?" I asked. "You better talk with Duality yourself about it. We just found out ourselves a couple minutes ago," responded Helpy. "Then let's find out what their conversation means for us," I said moving my chair over as I grabbed two of the upgrades for the animatronics they requested and moved them into my pocket. I got up from my chair and walked on over to the door, as Helpy and Charlie moved out of the way and towards the stairs. It would seem our enemy had made their move before us once again, though to contact Duality directly raised questions. It was best to wait and receive Duality's perspective on the matter before jumping to conclusions. Though that didn't stop me from wondering why our enemy would do such a thing to begin with. We reached the bottom of the stairs and made our way to the garage door, as my daughter opened it. Everyone was waiting for us as we walked in, all of them huddled around Duality. "An explanation is in order," I stated approaching them. "Me, Michael, Bonnie, and Springbonnie were training when Duality announced he made contact with Scott Cawthon. Or rather Scott contacted him. We don't have the details yet as I felt it best to have everyone here so Duality can share what happened," explained Mangle. "Duality. Explain what occurred to between you two," I said. "Scott Cawthon contacted me by invading my systems and to talk directly. His reason was for us to understand his motives and plans that differ from William," responded Duality. "The hell does that mean? He's not working with William?" questioned Helpy. "In a way, yes. He is siding with him as long as it benefits his own agenda and plans that differ from him. In which he wishes to help humanity evolve, all by ensuring humans and technology join together," continued Duality. "How does he hope to achieve that?" asked Michael. "I am unsure myself, as he did not go into detail on how he would carry out his plan. Though I doubt asking him would've made him reveal that information. He backed up his reasoning by stating he is doing all for this so humanity has evolved, and that technology will allow humanity to do so. He even acknowledges that fact how humanity is divided on how they view technology, and thus he feels it is necessary to make the decision himself so humanity survives and doesn't follow into extinction," explained Duality. "All of this is why he has sided with William, though he claims if he wins this conflict he could easily dispose of him. He even offered for me to side with him, though I offered the same in return. We both had declined the offer in our own way." "And you trust him? How do we know he's not bullshiting with us? He's fucking deceiving us," stated Bon Bon. "Like you give us anyone reason to trust you," said Helpy. "Enough," said Mangle silencing the both of them. "Could be a lie. Make us think we trust him. However he could also be telling the truth and told this to Duality because he trusts him. They both were made from the same technology and software after all." "True. However the question posed from this is what side Scott Cawthon is on," said Michael. "Perhaps his own. We may have a threat just as grand as your father, though we lack clear information on what he intends to do," responded Duality. "Yeah... After what he did to Mangle's, Bonnie's, and Springbonnie's world, he needs to answer for that at least. If that was necessary for technology, he better have a good reason to justify killing a whole world of people," said Michael. "Agreed. Even if his words hold some truth, he still has committed atrocities that mirror what William has done, even if they are on different scales. He chose to associate himself with William, and that makes him our enemy regardless," I stated. "It seems things just don't get any clearer. This whole conflict becomes more grey than black and white the longer it goes on," expressed Freddy. "Oh, so you're siding with Scott?!" exclaimed Bon Bon. "No, I'm not. But by the sounds of it Scott seems to think this is a good thing, by helping humanity survive. From a certain point of view it could be. Though him being an accomplice with William, destroying a world and the many lives of animatronics, his way of achieving his vision is questionable... While we still don't know what William hopes to gain by ending this world," explained Freddy. "I personally was shared a hint about William's true intentions from Scott; stating his reason for everything is more selfish and simple than we think. Though it's vague enough to not tell us much," shared Duality. "Then maybe it's something we're missing. Another missing piece to this huge puzzle that isn't complete?" suggested Bonnie. "Perhaps. Though we may have to ask him ourselves if we ever hope to have the answer," I said. "Was this everything he shared with you?" "That is everything he had shared with me," responded Duality. "So what then? Does this change things?" asked Helpy. "This changes nothing. Scott Cawthon was already a target, though his importance has been raised as of now. He will be eliminated, alongside William and his followers," I responded. "Anyways, I have taken Helpy's advice and created a way of communication if all of you aren't in close proximity." "Oh! So we're getting walkie talkies?!" exclaimed Springbonnie. "In a way yes," I responded pulling out one of the upgrades from my pocket and holding it up for everyone to see. "This is a radio and communication upgrade that'll create a frequency so everyone can use to communicate like a radio, or as I have named it a Communicator. The radio frequency will be useable at the left side of your head so when you activate the frequency be sure to press and hold your finger over the side of your head. In fact how about we test it out." "Oh I'm volunteering then!" exclaimed Springbonnie excited. "Who else wishes to participate then?" I asked. "I will. It was my suggestion after all," said Helpy. I tossed the Communicator over to Springbonnie, who caught it as I pulled the other one out of my pocket. "Sweet!" expressed Springbonnie as I tossed the other one to Helpy. "So we insert it into one of the USB ports, right?" asked Helpy examining it. "Correct. Once connected you'll have access to the frequency and be able to communicate this way," I informed him in response. "Let's test it out then," he responded opening the cover on the back of his head and inserted the Communicator into a USB drive, as Springbonnie did the same. "If the enemy were to get their hands on one of these upgrades, they could listen in on the frequency. Hacking is also an option that'll give them access," noted Mangle. "A good observation and point. I took precautions by protecting and encrypting the frequency, all done by Duality, to ensure that if anyone does try to do so it'll be a while before they even get access to it. It still is susceptible to intrusion but we must accept the risk and chances of it happening due to how necessary it is now for all of you to stay in contact when engaged by the enemy or if separated. The enemy has already been aware of our missions and objectives, and it still remains a mystery as to how they are obtaining this information or if they are using another method for predicting our every move," I said. "It's a risk we'll have to take," said Michael. "Alright, testing. One, two, three? Anybody there?" said Springbonnie putting her finger on the left side of her head. "Holy shit it's like I have another voice in my head," expressed Helpy who was thrown off by the test, as he pressed his finger on the left side of his head. "Tell me next time you do something like that. Literally scared the shit out of me." "Oh I hear you! It really is like I have another voice in my head," expressed Springbonnie. "There's your test. Seems it works," said Freddy. "Then that'll do. Michael. I must inform you that due to your decaying body and animatronic suit that connecting the Communicator to you will not work, I'm afraid," I said to him. "No worries. I'll just make sure to be with someone who can communicate with the radio," said Michael. "Ah, he don't need one anyways. He can handle himself if he gets separated if it comes to it," expressed Springbonnie. "Well, then. I believe it's best I also share what the final retrieval mission is for all of you as you'll be needing to depart as soon as possible, considering it is close to morning and being out in daylight is a risk we cannot take. Especially with the location you'll be heading towards," I explained. "So what is it we're retrieving for one last time?" asked Bonnie. "An EMP device. Or electric magnetic pulse if you want to be technical," I answered. "It will shut down any electronic device within it's range, whether that be lights, computers... even animatronics." "So we can take down Elizabeth, Golden Freddy, or Nightmare? At least for a while?" asked Helpy. "Yes you can. Though as you mentioned it is temporary, though someone manually, or possibly an online source like Scott Cawthon, is able to reactivate them. And the same goes for all of you as well. If one of you are caught in the EMP blast you'll suffer the same circumstances," I stated. "What if that happens then? Can one of us reactivate whoever shuts down, if it comes down to it?" asked Mangle. "Fortunately yes, though the process does require some time. To reset an animatronic you'll need to hit a reset button on the back head of your endo-skeleton, and for that you'll need to have the back part of your head taken off to do so, as well as restore power to them," I explained. "Then what's the point? Nobody is able to do that except you, unless you're coming with us when we attack the pizzeria," said Bon Bon. "No, but he can teach me. I already have some experience fixing animatronics and having this knowledge will help if the scenario does occur," said Helpy. "I never gave your permission to be at the final battle," I said. "Wait? I thought he was coming along with us at the final battle?" asked Springbonnie. "I thought so to but here you are Henry doing it again! Deciding what I should and shouldn't be apart of you! I had to convince you just to let me join them on their missions and now I have to do so again for such a mission so important that the whole world depends on it!" exclaimed Helpy. "And I won't allow you to convince me on this one. It's dangerous and too risky for you," I stated. "Not like what I do on these retrieval missions is any different! Besides I am in control of my god damn life! I'm a being not a fucking inanimate object! If I die, then so be it! I know it may very well happen so not try to take away my choice of choosing to save humanity!" exclaimed Helpy. "Enough! Look, you can resolve your quarrel once we're done here," said Michael calming down the tension. I could see Helpy's expression show his distaste for my command, though I wish he wouldn't judge my words before I explained to him for my reasoning. "Anyways. The downside to this EMP device is that it can only be used once, due to the sheer power and magnitude it has. Also the device is huge in size and will be difficult to carry, though I have a platform with wheels you guys can take to make it easier to bring back to the car. To compensate for it downsides its range is vast that it could cover almost the entirety of the pizzeria," I explained. "What about Duality or Scott? Can the EMP blast disrupt their systems and cause them to go offline as well?" asked Freddy. "No, as they both can save their systems and protects themselves from such a threat, though even if they were caught in an EMP blast they wouldn't be wiped but instead would need to reboot most of their systems," I answered. "But that would slow down Scott if he were caught in the blast," said Mangle. "True, it would. Though it would only work and would take him a minute or so to be back online. Still, this is something that could help when all of you attack the pizzeria, but we will save how to use the EMP device for when we fully plan out how to attack," I said. "Now for the location where you'll be heading, which isn't a pizzeria this time." "Huh? That's a first," pointed out Springbonnie. "Where then?" asked Michael. A graveyard... The place where my wife was buried to rest in peace. Mary... " I responded. Everyone went silent at the news I had just shared, though I could tell Freddy and Charlie were the most affected by it. Freddy already knew the story of her passing but also how much she meant to me, and bring her up to Charlie would surely bring back memories. Not very fond one's. "Why there?" asked Charlie suddenly as everyone turned to look at her, then back at me. "To ensure it would be safe, that I would have a guardian like your mom to watch over such an artifact for us. I didn't have much thought of where to hide this device and this place just felt best. I hope it wasn't a mistake," I said. "No. It's not. Mom would like the thought," responded Charlie. "Then do me a favor. The device is buried below the hill towering where her graves overlooks it. Make sure you pay your respects to her. And in my name as well... " I said. "I will," she responded. I took a deep sigh as I looked back at everyone, realigning myself to focus back on the task at hand. "That should be everything. The platform with wheels is in the backyard and a couple shovels as well to dig up the device. The device should be right where you would climb the hill at area when it's flat, so finding it shouldn't be any trouble," I continued. "I suggest loading everything up and getting ready in about, at least, ten minutes as we don't have much time left like I said before. I'll also give all of you the rest of the Communicators to upgrade your systems with." "Got it," responded Michael. "Henry, if you don't mind, I would like to talk alone for a couple minutes," said Duality. "If you say so," said Helpy as he and everyone else decided to walk towards the door that lead into the house. "Should we bring Duality on this mission? Freddy is done learning his training from him and it would prove beneficial for us if he came along. The enemy could be waiting for us after all," asked Bonnie. "Perhaps. However I feel it is best to keep him here for this mission, just in case and until for the final assault on William's base of operations," I stated. "Well, we'll still do good on our own. Alright, let's get ready," said Mangle. "I do recommend taking it easy. Not all your systems are operating at hundred percent capacity and you haven't learned everything about the Resurrection Power. Be careful," I warned her. "That's not going to stop her from leading," said Bonnie. "True. But I have you to fill in the role if I'm unable to," said Mangle in response. "Of course," he responded as everyone walked out of the garage. "Now. What was it that you wanted to talk about?" I asked Duality. "There was a detail I left out from when I spoke to Scott that he mentioned. I cannot mention it to the others because of this information I received itself," responded Duality. "What details do you mean?" I asked. "Scott mentioned the enemy has a way of knowing our every move, possibly information on all of us, our plans... maybe everything... If it's that much of a problem. A listening device problem," responded Duality. "A listening device. That explains how our enemy has always been one step ahead of us and managed to get the jump on us multiple times. And you believe one of us may be the source of the problem. Willingly or unwillingly?" I said. "Unwillingly. High unlikely any one them is a traitor or against us, especially since we found that problem already with Golden Freddy. It could be one of them had a device implanted in them at some point, though it is a matter of who. I've already did a full scan of their systems and everything and nothing has come up. Of course I could've made an error or simply William made a pretty good way of keeping such a bug from being found," responded Duality. "Then let's narrow down our search. Helpy was designed by me though it is possible William could've known I was building him and decided it would be a good opportunity to use him as a way of gathering information from us. Still the possibility is called into question due to these factors. Bonnie, Mangle, and Springbonnie appeared at the pizzeria where William was at with their own bodies, seemingly taken from their world that transferred into ours. Though I doubt William would, or is able, to plant such a device onto any of them. The chance of any of those three being the bug are low," I stated. "Then that leaves Bon Bon, Funtime Foxy, and Funtime Freddy, and Michael. Michael was mostly involved with his father and he could've been bugged. He is... Was half machine and half human. The bug could've been planted inside his body without knowing," suggested Duality. "Then again. Bon Bon, Foxy, and Freddy were all built by William. And who knows? There could be more than one bug." "A fair point. However I believe it is possible Freddy may be the bug," I suggested. "Because he was built not too long ago?" asked Duality catching on. "Yes. He has an importance to William that we aren't aware of. Why he was kept intact rather than disposed of. It may be up to Freddy and his friends to find out his importance when they face off against William himself," I explained. "Well. It still is imperative we find this bug. Our enemy may have all the information needed to counter our attack," reminded Duality. "Indeed. Try to isolate the bug if possible and if we have to resort to more advanced ways of finding this bug, keep it discreet as possible. We cannot allow the enemy to realize we've found their bug until it is removed, and same goes for everyone else. If they find out the enemy will as well, and who knows what kind of counter measure they have in place if their bug is discovered," I stated. "And you believe Scott about the bug?" asked Duality. "Do you?" I asked in response. "Well, it is only logical. Not to mention how we know he is working against William for his own reasons," he said. "Then we find this bug at all costs. Our plans may be compromised but we can still reevaluate and form a new one when this bug is discovered," I responded back. "William's tinkering will not halt us from accomplishing our goals and stopping him. I am prepared to see it to the end and have William burn in the deepest pit of hell for all he has done... He will face judgement, and then I will be able to finally sleep without that man living in this world."
