A sudden mishap changes the fate of the Indian Women's Cricket team, as an entire new team gets formed, bas...
A young girl wearing a pair of jeans and crop top and a denim jacket with a pair of sports shoes and a very expensive watch stepped out of the car and brought her cricket kit as well as her other luggages down from the car.
"Are you sure you want to do it Shani? Once you go in, there's no turning back!", her father said as he came and stood beside her.
"I have never been so sure of anything else Dad! This is what I wanna do and I'll make you proud, you'll see!", Trishani said .
Her father looked at his daughter and smiled. He hugged her and placed a kiss on her forehead saying, " I'm already proud of you! Go and make the country proud!"
The girl smiled and nodded her head and as her father left she turned back after bidding him goodbye.

"Mithali Raj National Cricket Academy.", she read the board and smiled. She stood outside of the Academy for a minute, thinking about how she ended up here all of sudden.
Just about few months ago she was playing at the regional division and now she is standing outside of this Academy, waiting to join the training camp for The National Team!
She thought about how miraculously she got this opportunity. A month ago a terrible accident had caused the entire Indian Women's Cricket Team to be unavailable. The team was returning from its Australia tour by team bus from the airport. They had won the series and was very happy but their happiness didn't last long as the bus was hit by a truck from no where and almost all the players including support stuffs were severely injured and will take months to recover.
But there was some important series and tournaments already scheduled for the women's team. BCCI couldn't cancel all of those as the other teams and ICC wouldn't agree. So they decided to put together a new team selecting the best players from the state teams and other regional divisions.
They decided these players will play the tournaments and the series till the senior players recovers completely. But as they were all new and almost no one had played international games before, BCCI had organised a camp for them at the Mithali Raj National Cricket Academy, New Delhi.
This girl was one of the selected players and today was the reporting day for the camp. She went inside the academy and looked around. It was well decorated with the pictures of the legends of Cricket, both men and women.
"One day I'll be like them too!", she said as she walked through the corridor.
She asked to one of the pions where is the registration was being done and he directed her to the administration office. She went there and showed the letter from BCCI she got.
"What is your name?", asked the man at the table.
" Trishani Thakur!", said the girl.
"Hmm.. Trishani Thakur, Delhi State team captain, Opening Batter. Right?"
