🇮🇳CHAPTER THREE~

Drishti woke up around 5a.m and freshened up quickly, followed by Sonarika, Richa and others one by one. Getting ready in her practice gear, Drishti went to the field before everyone while praying in mind,"aaj Guru ka darshan honewala hain bhagwan, thank you yeh din dikhane ke liye."

Mahi Bhai sent prior notice to the girls that he would be there at the Academy by 5:30a.m, hence everyone should be there by the time he reaches the ground. The girls came and gathered on the training ground while Anshika stood beside Drishti and said,"itni ageh ageh khade hone se kuch nahi honewala. Ageh badhne ke liye coach ka favourite banne ki koshish karogi tum I know. But faayda nahi honewala."

"Yeh baat tujhse zyaada mereko malum hain. Mahi Bhai ko itna toh jaanti hoon main. Chaprusi se nahi, talent se khush honge voh,"Drishti said.

"Mahi Bhai? Huh! Sir bol Sir. He is our coach, not your elder brother or something. Stupid fool,"Anshika scoffed.

"Zaheer!"Mahi Bhai called Zaheer Khan, who was the bowling coach of the girls and he jogged up to him saying,"Mahi, sharp on time haan! Chalo, ladkiyan ready hain ground pe."

"Have you seen them yet? I was going through their previous game records and those were pretty good. Kaafi talented players liya gaya hain,"Mahi Bhai said while walking towards the practice ground.

"Par sab kehe rahe hain ki team bonding bilkul bhi acchi nahi hain. Sehwag ko special batting mentor lena chahate hain so he came to visit the girls, but usko bhi laga ki matlab, vibes nahi arahi hain team waali. Sab apne apne mein busy hain, kisi ko yeh nahi pasand, kisi ko voh nahi pasand,"Zaheer Bhai said while Mahi Bhai looked towards the girls, through the iron netted boundary walls of the field, and found the girls not interacting at all. Just two three of them were whispering things to each other, pointing at other players. Overall, the team gave a cold vibe instead of a warm friendly one.

"Positive team vibes won't come so easily. They haven't played in National team before. Pehele yeh responsibility toh ajaaye inme. Pura ek mahina bhi nahi bacha hain India vs Bangladesh, ODI and T20 series ka. Dekhte hain kya kar sakte hain. It's a complete inexperienced team,"Mahi Bhai said while opening the gate and walking into the field and the girls stood straight in a disciplined way at once.

"Good Morning Girls!"Mahi Bhai and Zaheer Bhai said and the girls wished them back.

"I am Zaheer Khan, your bowling coach, and he is, you all already know, Sir.Mahendra Singh Dhoni, your head coach, your mentor, and the one who has been vested all the powers related to this team. He can take any decision at anytime. So, are you all ready?"Zaheer Bhai said.

"YES SIR!"the girls said together.

"Good! So, introduce yourselves one after the other. Starting from the last,"Mahi Bhai said while walking around the girls.

"Mukti Anand, Spin Bowler, Team Bihar,"Mukti said.

"Shaktipriya Batra, Allrounder, Team Madhya Pradesh,"added another girl.

"Shehnaaz Khan, wicketkeeper, middleorder batter, Team Jammu."

"Jasmine Desai, lower order batter, Team Gujarat."

"Sorry Sirs!"Trishani said while rushing into the ground and Mahi Bhai checked his watch and said,"almost twelve minutes late."

"Haan voh Sir, ready hone meine wakt lag gaya thoda,"Trishani said.

"Practice ground hain ki fashion show hain? Baakiyon ko toh wakt nahi laga. Bagal waali ground ke 20 rounds laga ke aao,"Mahi Bhai said and she stood there shocked and then went away quickly to take twenty rounds while murmuring,"roz thodei late hoti. Ek chance toh deh hi sakte theh na?"
