🇮🇳CHAPTER TWELVE~

It was the final match. The galleries were filled with spectators, who were cheering for their respective teams. India vs Pakistan had always been one of the most awaited matches, and everyone was eager for it.
The toss was won by the Pakistan Captain, and they elected to bat first. Drishti came back to the dressing room and Shalini said,"pitch dry hain, aaj batting pehele milta toh accha hota."

"Chinta nahi karne ka. Dry pitch pe khelke badi hui hoon. Bass saath de dena sab,"Drishti said and Zeba added,"bass promise kar deh ki tu out nahi jayegi aaj. Humesha 50 banake out jaati hain."

"Chal thik hain, aaj Kharbanda out nahi jayegi. Tik ke khelegi, promise. Toh team, ready for action?"Drishti said loudly and everyone said,"READY CAPTAIN!"

They went on to the fields and Drishti placed them around.The men's team had already finished their series and they were present at the stadium today to watch the Women in blue in action. Drishti gave the ball to Mukti and found Sonarika looking towards the men's team.

"Oye Gill! I'll throw you down the hill. Udhar nahi idhar dekh,"she said and Sonarika replied,"areh.. sorry sorry, men's team aaye hain dekh."

"Haan! No worries, Mahi Bhai ne kaha hain ki hum hi jeetenge, matlab jeetenge. Aaj unka naam nahi dubana hain, chal,"Drishti said.

However, Mukti got bashed in the first over, conceding fifteen runs, followed by Zeba, who gave ten runs in the next.

"Yaar yeh toh accha sign nahi hain,"Virat said.

"Haan, aur 18 overs hain. Dekhte hain kya hota hain ageh,"Rohit added.

Hitting her own head Drishti said,"idea doh koi. Koi bhi chalega. Dimag nahi khul raha mera."

Trishani said,"Sonarika ko try karegi? Gamble hai but khelle..I guess sayed kaam kar jaye."

Drishti looked at Shalini and Jasmine for their opinion as they were standing next to her, and they gave a nod of agreement.

"Thik hain! Jaa Chauhan covers pe khadi ho jaa phir. Thakur tu mid on pe jaa issbar. Chameli stay on slip one, and Sona, come here, yeh le ball."

Sonarika took the ball and said,"bharosa kiya hain spin wali pitch pe bhi tumlogon ne, I'll try my best today,"and then went to take her run up. She bowled the first ball and got hit for a 4 and looked at Drishti.

Shreyas said,"pitch dry hain, spinners zyada chalenge ispe. Voh bhi maar kha rahe hain though. Batters acche hain spin ke khilaf unke."

"Tukka khela hain inhone. Kya pata kaam kar jaye. Gill is a good bowler,"Rahul added.

Drishti called Sonarika and whispered to her,"cross seam try kar. Outside pe zyaada maar, maarne ki koshish kare toh catch jaaye. Set the field as per your convenience."

Sonarika nodded and went back, she looked around and set the fielding accordingly, by placing the best fielders around while the Commentator said,"okay so seems like the Captain has asked the bowler to set things on her own. Great!"

This time Sonarika bowled towards the outside of the wicket point and the batter tried to hit it for a six but got caught by Shalini who was on the cover.

The girls team relaxed much more than they cheered, as finally they got a wicket, while Mahi Bhai sighed in relief.

"Dekha dao chal gaya naa,"Rahul said.

Sonarika sighed and gave a hug to Drishti who said,"Thakur ne kamaal ka idea diya aur tuney bhi kamaal kardiya,"she then said to Shalini,"nice catch Chauhan,"and Shalini passed a salute in reply, and Drishti added while looking back at Sonarika,"abb sunn dimag khul gaya mera.  Bowl at the top of stumps, if a lateral movement inclines off the pitch or in the air, then we will get another wicket. Chal!"
