🇮🇳CHAPTER THIRTY THREE~

It was match day and Mumbai Challengers were supposed to face Royal Strikers Delhi. The Feroz Shah Kotla stadium was vibing with the cheers and slogans of the fans of both the teams. The Delhi team had won their previous match against Chennai Champions, and were pumped up for their second match of the first ICL season.

"We have to win! Our first aim is to reach the playoffs and for that purpose we need to win the games and try to maintain a good margin of win and Net Run Rate. So team, ready for the game?"Virat asked and everyone in the dressing room said together,"Yes Cap! One Team One Dream."

"Raula Machayenge aaj King, no worry no fear, we are together here,"Drishti added.

"Tu sunn Kharbanda, just because VK is the Captain and I am the Vice Captain, doesn't means that you will stop giving your suggestions,"Shreyas added.

"Haan, last day commentary karti rahi wickets ke piche khade hokar, kuch bola hi nahi, phir jaake daant lagaya toh suggest karna chalu kiya isney,"Raina Bhai said.

"Lo karlo baat. Aap ho, King hain, Jaddu Bhai hain, Shrey Bhai hain, Shikhi Paaji hain, mainnu ki kehena? Seniors ho aap log,"Drishti said with a frown.

"Oh mein buddha nai aah. Baakiyo da patta nai,"Shikhar said while padding up.

"Aye maze da gal hain ki mein toss jeet gaya doh doh matches mein, mainnu kismat changi dance kardi ah finally,"Virat added with a cheeky smile, making the team giggle along.

"Kaptan! Karna kya hain?"Shaktipriya, Taniya and Zeba asked Drishti and she frowned and said,"oh galatt line pe agayi tu log. Kaptan itthe nah, utthe dekh, utthe hain Kaptan."

"Sorry, aadat se majboor,"Zeba said.

"Koi nah, jo bhi Kaptan rahe, inputs aur efforts poore team nu daalni hain,"Virat said.

"Toh Shikhi Paaji aur main opening karne chala. Sayonara,"Shubman said while grabbing his bat and putting on his helmet.

"Haan chal! All the best, Raula Machake aana,"Virat said and the duo went out after the team wished them luck as well.

Here in the Mumbai side the players were already on the field as they were supposed to field first. They were in a huddle and Rohit was talking.

"Haan toh pehla match hum jit chuke hain, yeh wala bhi jeet hi jayenge. We need this win to ensure our play offs,"Rohit said and everyone nodded.

"Oye VC inputs de dena!", Rahul said to Hardik who smirked saying, " Haan Haan I'll huh. Tereko nahi banaya isliye jal raha hain na tu. I know everything!"

Rahul frowned and hit on his head and Hardik hit him back. Rohit hit on both of his head and discussed the initial strategy for the power play and then set the field as the batters stepped inside the field.

Rohit said to Jasmine, "Aye tu, udhar jaa."

"Kidhar jayu bhai?", she asked.

"Kya kehete hain usko. Haan Mid on pe dour. Bhaag bhaag. Bhaag ke jaa, " he said to Jasmine who nodded her head and ran towards the Mid on.

Rohit began with pace as he knew Firoz Shah Kotla was known for their batting pitches and with all the Indian players playing in the tournament spinners would get hit alot, obviously he didn't want that. He gave the ball to Jasprit as he took his run up and delivered a Yorker at the very beginning.

"Aye aatey hi yorker phenk diya,"Shikhar said to Shubman, who chuckled.

Jasprit chuckled looking at them and went back to take his run up. Trishani was standing beside Rohit as he placed her in the second slip and staring at the Delhi dressing room.
