LIZZIE'S POV

I have been staying with Nell for a few days now, she works a lot. With School and shoots and editing, there's hardly any time for her. So whilst she was out at work today I went to the grocery store and picked a few things up and made us dinner for when she came home.

She walked through the door in a foul mood. "Everything okay?" "Fine." She huffs putting her things away in the correct places before greeting me with a hug. "Are you sure?" She nodded not making eye contact. "What happened?" "Some guy followed me with a camera all day." "Huh?" "Apparently there's an article. Cassie sent it to me." She pulled her phone out of her jeans and tapped for a second before handing it over.

Eleanor Hastings, homewrecker.

"I'm so sorry," I say immediately not reading anymore. "It's fine, it's just Cassie is getting picked on at school for it and that's not okay with me. I can handle my name being dragged through the mud that's fine. Bad for business but completely fine. But my little sister it ends there." She says seriously. Was she going to kick me out? Was she going to shout at me? Are we no longer friends? I should go to stop any more problems for her. "It's not even like we're doing anything together. We've been out for like a handful of dinners. Are you not allowed to have new friends? You stay with Scarlett what's the problem with staying with me?" She was on a ranting roll and I let her go on until she stopped.

"I need to go and call home. So." "I made us dinner," I say sheepishly. She frowned. "You didn't have to do that." "No, I know. You just never have any time for yourself so I thought if I made you dinner you could have a relaxing evening, with wine and a bath and food. But I think that's gone out the window." I felt so guilty. She was young and busy she didn't need this on her plate. "Plus I was thinking about heading back to LA tonight." I slide in. "Because of all this?" She asked sitting at the island with her laptop, when did she even go get that? "I don't want to put you out any more than I have. And with me back in LA maybe it will all stop." I suggest.

Her phone started ringing I sneak a look it was Cassie, she turned it over and made it go silent. I frowned she always picks up. "Aren't you going to answer that?" "Were talking. Cassie will be fine for a few minutes." She says looking at me. "You should answer your sister." I fiddle with my fingers. "I will when we've talked about you leaving." "It's my fault." "No, it's not it's the lying news reporters' fault." I nodded though I knew it was my fault, if I wasn't in her life she wouldn't have this attention on her. "Did they follow you here? The guy with the camera?" "No, I lost them on the subway." She says. I nodded knowing she was safe because they didn't know where she lived. "Are you mad at me?" "Why would I be mad at you?" "Because if I just stayed with my mum or sisters like I was meant to then you wouldn't have any of this drama on your doorstep." I chewed my lip getting anxious. "I'm not mad at you. I'm just annoyed at the girls at Cassie's school." She explains. "That's also my fault." "No, it's not. None of this is on you." "But." "Elizabeth." "Eleanor," I say back in the same warning tone she took with me. She rolled her eyes at the use of her proper name.

"I should head back to LA anyway." "Why would you do that when Thanksgiving is literally a week away? It would make no sense." She says knowing my plans for thanksgiving. "Because I messed things up for you." She sighed and rubbed her face. Her phone rang again. "Cassie I need to call you back okay." She hung up not even waiting for a reply. She was really stressed. And it was my fault. She took a deep breath and stood up. My phone then started ringing. I pick it up from the counter. "It's my team." She nodded understanding and allowed me to leave.

NELLS' POV

I called Cassie back whilst Lizzie excused herself. "Are you okay?" I ask her. "Just been a long day." She says sounding defeated. "I know, bug. I'm sorry." "The girls at school hate you." "I'm aware," I say having received all her text messages throughout today. "You aren't really dating, Lizzie Olsen are you?" "No. I'm her friend." "But the article says your living together." "That's not correct. She's staying with me for a few days, yes but she'll be going to her sisters soon." "Because you're coming home." "I'm not coming home at Thanksgiving. I spoke to mum about this she was meant to tell you." "But Nell!" "Casandra please I can't right now," I say having so much on my plate. I'm about to sign a really big contract with a fashion brand, I have my regular clients, I have school assignments due. Lizzie, Cassie, The coffee shops, the press the girls at Cassie's school. Putting Cassie's disappointment on top of that seemed less than manageable if I'm being honest.
