"You don't leave this house." "I won't." "I mean it, Cassie, I'll be back in two-ish hours." "I won't leave the house, chill. Mum leaves me alone all the time." "I know but this isn't our area... You don't know where you're going around here." "It's a gated community it's pretty hard to... I'll stay in the house." "And don't go snooping through Liz's stuff it's private, stay out of the office." "What if I need to do school work?" "My laptop is on your bed, you can use it in the lounge."

Today was Friday and be being the pushover I am, I'm letting her stay off from school so we could spend the day together. The only problem is I had work at 7 in the morning so she was staying home whilst I did the shoot and then we'd spend the whole day doing fun things. When I'm sure she had heard the rules of her staying here alone I left and told Matty not to let her leave without me being here he agreed easily and I went to work with the peace of mind she was okay.

Lizzie called on the drive and we spoke for a while just talking about random things, I told her that Cassie was at her place alone and she scolded me for calling it her place and then we bickered about money and bills for a while. "I'm here now," I tell her turning the car off. "Call me tonight?" "You have that thing tonight, you'll be getting ready." "Ugh, I hate my job." "You love your job and isn't Scarlett there now? Stick with Scar." "Scar can't drink." "Then drink for the two of you and call me when you're messy drunk." I wink and she chuckles. "You haven't seen me messy drunk yet." "Your birthday party wasn't messy drunk no?" "No, you've seen nothing yet, baby." I laughed at her as I climbed out of the car. "Is my garden okay?" "Yeah, the gardener still comes over, I have no clue what I'm doing and I didn't want to ruin it." "You wouldn't ruin it." "I forget to water and feed myself some days never mind the plants." "Comforting." I rolled my eyes. "Hold on I'm putting you in my pocket," I tell her as I approached the door to the studio, I unlocked it and she was moaning about something. "Did you just put me in your butt?" "I put you in my jean pocket," "On your butt." "Where else did you want me to put you?" She shrugged. "I have to go, Princess." "Okay, have a good session, I'll talk to you later." "Yes, you will. Love you." "Love you." We hung up and I set up for my early morning shoot on the roof of our building. Sorting out the lighting would be hard but I'll just have to keep moving around the roof to get it. I was doing a bikini shoot with Rokh this morning.

"Cassandra, I'm home," I called out. "Lounge." She called back, I dumped my things by the door and went to find her. "Hey, bug." "Hi." She was just watching TV. "How was work?" "Pretty uneventful." "Do you get paid a lot for those shoots?" "It's decent." "More than if you were in them?" I shrugged sitting beside her and stealing a slice of her toast. She didn't mind she was used to sharing with me. "I guess it would be more, but I don't do that anymore." "You should." "What's brought this on?" "Found a contract from the Row in Lizzie's office." "I told you to stay out of there." I scolded. "It was in the draw where the pens were. I needed a pen." She defended. "It had your name on it I was intrigued since you only just moved in her like two days ago." I narrowed my eyes at her. "I read it, they want you to model. You loved modelling." "You were like 2 years old when I started modelling how would you know?" "Because dad never made us do anything we didn't enjoy." She shot straight back. "And you did a bunch of it. So you enjoyed it." "Not the point." "And you did the catwalk." "I was forced to do the catwalk." I correct her. "And it caused a whole load of shit after." "I think you should read the contract, think about it." "No. And you don't mention this to anyone. I don't even know about it." She rolled her eyes but nodded taking back the slice of toast I had only taken a bite out of. "Tasted gross anyway," I say, standing up to find something to eat.

"Have you got my school fees ready for next semester?" " Yeah, almost anyway." "If you can't afford it that's fine. Mum said you were looking to sell the apartment and I don't want you to do that... Not for me anyway." "I've been working a lot more this year, with bigger clients, I got it covered. You shouldn't worry about money anyhow." I tell her as I sit back down with a bowl of fruit. "But." "Bug, I got it covered and the Europe trip too." "I didn't tell you about that." "I know." "Then how did you find out about it." "My mail goes to Jr's from the school he opens it and reads it to me so I know what's going on in your life." "Explains why mum never tells me off for the detentions I get." "Yeah, that's got to stop happening," I warned her. "It's not good, Cass. You need to take school seriously. Last year was rough I know, I cut you the slack but you need to reign it in a little, okay. Can you do that?" "Yeah, I'll try." I accepted her answer, she didn't have long until summer anyway.
