The weeks following the wedding have been hectic. And each member of the family has their own assignments in the tasks.

Polly has been in charge of general Shelby business of making sure everything is going smoothly.

Author and John have been put in charge of sorting out the Changretta business. Vicente Changretta called for a meeting in neutral territory to discuss the conflict. Which the men will oblige to soon.

Of course Tommy doesn't want Bella involved in that.

Therefore the two are dealing with the Russian business, which it getting more complicated by the day.

After the day of the wedding, Grace hasn't been brought up much. Bella thinks Tommy's trying to avoid her and talking about her. All he's told her was that she's very involved with the new charity. But Bella asks for Charlie updates daily, hearing about all the things he accomplishes makes her day.

Otherwise things between the two have gone back to normal. They make a good team.

Bella stood looking out the window of Tommy's office with her arms crossed.

Tommy sat at his desk. He's been doing research to find a factory large enough to hold the tanks. Bella could tell that the work with the tanks has been setting him off a bit. But knew not to bring it up.

"Do you think John and Arthur can keep a stable head through all this?" She asked him

Tommy didn't look up, "they have to"

Bella turned towards him "I'm the one who killed the spy...Arthur couldn't do it"

He paused, then looked up her "and I wish that burden wasn't put on you, but I thank you for it."

Bella shook her head. "I don't need thanks, I did what needed to be done...what I'm saying is I'm afraid Johns going to go too far and Arthur isn't going to go far enough"

Tommy considered her words. She may be right.
"What else do you expect me to do? I won't have you involved with any Italian business and I need to sort out the Russians."

Bella let out a soft sigh and got closer to him. Stopping once her knee hit his chair on his left side.

Looking down, she brought her hand up to brush his hair trying to relax him. He hummed in response, closing his eyes.

"So what's our next move, Mr. Shelby?" She asked sweetly

At times, Tommy couldn't believe this kind-hearted, small, sweet girl was involved with him or the business in anyway. But she was and she was good at it.

Opening his eyes, they connected with hers. "I found a warehouse, just have to get the keys. And I was tipped off with some information about the Economics League."

Bella furrowed her eyebrows. Hoping he elaborated, which he did

"A priest from the countryside, came to me said he could set up a meeting with the members. He's a real prick, but he'll be useful for the time being."

She felt her stomach drop at the mention of a priest. But taking some deep breaths through her nose, she calmed herself down. There's not a chance of it being the same as her childhood. She told herself.
