Unknown's POV

I was in my room listening to my favorite song. Roses by Chainsmokers was blasting through my room. I was laying on my stomach and kicking my feet in the air. I was on my bed drawing a little sketch. I was bored waiting for my parents.

I am seventeen years old and they went to get groceries. I kept kicking my legs back and forth while I was drawing. I was drawing a fairy. I never knew why but I loved them since I was little. I couldn't help but got caught in the moment.

"Take it slow but it's not typical" I began to sing out loud. "He already knows that my love is fire" I sang. "His heart was a stone" I said as I sung the lyrics. "But then his hands roamed, I turned him to gold and took him higher" I kept singing every word.

As I kept singing I didn't even hear my parents come home. My mom opened the door and that's how I knew she was home. "Turn down the music" my mom said in a sad frantic tone. I turned down the music unsure of what is happening. I looked to my mom for answers. That was until my dad walked into my room with tears in his eyes.

"What happened" I said as I sat up on my bed. My mom sat down beside me. She wrapped her arm around me. "My mom, your grandmother just passed away" said my dad as he looked at us. My mom stood up and hugged my dad. I couldn't help but also hug my dad. I hardly knew my grandmother though. I still cared for my dad.

I hugged him as tightly as possible. My father hugged us. "What are we gonna do" asked my mom as she pulled away. "I don't know" my dad sad as a tears dropped from his face. I hugged him tightly not wanting him to be sad. "Thank you Ruby" said my dad as he cried in my mother's shoulder.
