Ruby's POV

Today I woke up hurting but I couldn't complain because today Charles took me and Ava to Ernest's motorcycle shop. I was excited to see what I was going to see. I also wanted to know what Ernest said last night. It never left my mind even when the room was spinning. I couldn't have imagined that.

When we walked into the shop I saw tons of motorcycle parts. I saw a guy with broad shoulders showing in a muscle shirt. I couldn't help but remember the shoulders that I nestled against last night. It was Ernest. I never noticed his shoulders until yesterday. It was weird for me to see this now.

We walked in and Ernest took off his helmet. He turned towards us with a smile. "Dude that party was awesome" said a familiar guy who was Ernest's friends. "Flint come on man" said Ernest. I watched as Ava and Flint hugged each other. Ernest walked towards us and I couldn't help but smile.

"Last night I came home and found out I made a airplane with an instruction manual on the back of it" said Flint. "Of course you would do that" said Ava. "I know right" said Ernest. "Wait how did you get home" asked Ava. "I broke every girl rule" said Flint. I looked at him confused for a second.

"I meet this guy at the party and he gave me a drink since we started talking. We started talking about his car and I joined him outside to see it. He talked me into going on a drive with him. So we went around the block and the police came to the party" said Flint as he described what happened to him.

"After that he drove me home since the police blocked the street" said Flint as he finished his story. "At least you got home" said Ava. "I broke every girl rule that girls are supposed to follow when you meet a guy. Honestly how do you handle it all" said Flint. Ava started laughing and I couldn't help but giggle.

"Oh man you missed the part where I thought queso was important" said Flint. All of us looked at him confused. "Okay so blood is thicker than water but cheese dip is thicker than blood right" said Flint. I tried to see where this story was going. "So technically queso is more important than family" said Flint. Ernest started laughing so hard.

"Wow" said Ava unfazed. "What, come on" said flint. "I mean come on it was funny" said Ernest. I giggled a little bit. "You are so energetic" I said after a while. "How" asked Flint since he sounded confused. "You are like the person to run after you wake up" said Ernest. "Everyone else is processing being alive" said Ava. I couldn't help but seeing him do that.

"I feel like you guys would be the funniest together we'll drunk" said Ernest. He was looking at me and Flint. "I would probably say something nice" I said thinking about it. "Yeah and I will change the subject and make it dark" said Flint. "Oh my god that would be great" said Ava as she agreed.

"It would probably be like, shout out to short men. You are seen" I said thinking about it. "Some guy would be like yeah and ask for your number" said Ava as she went along. "I would say you are seen not desired" said Flint. I couldn't help but laugh at our group drunk night story. It was really funny.

"Imagine of a guy got with our dear Ruby" said Ava jokingly. "We would call twenty three nineteen" said Flint. "I would be the one to save you" said Ernest. I couldn't help but this situation would be more realistic. I felt happy for a second but I wasn't sure about dating yet. It's just too soon to think that.

Flint noticed that I was sad because he said "you did a lot for a lame dude but imagine what you'll do for a real one" said Flint as he held my shoulders. I was looking straight at Ernest. I knew it was not a thing because I was traumatized. I looked down at the ground instead. "It's okay" said Ernest.

"People change for two reasons" said Ava. I looked at her for a answer. "Either you learn enough that you want to or you've been hurt enough that you have to" said Ava. I couldn't help but agree more. "This is why my family considers you to be their extra child" I said since my parents always loved Ava.

"My best friend's family considers me to be their extra child and now that's elite" said Ava in her cute caption voice. "Wow I can't even date anyone because of their parents might think I'm a loser" said Flint. "My girlfriend and her family I have nothing" he said. The more he talked the more I was confused.

"I will wear a nice shirt and then she will see my second nice shirt for our second date and then she will think of first shirt again. Next date would be he has two shirts only" said a Flint as he explained his closet. "You poor soul" said Ava in distraught.

"I have ruined so many relationships so Ruby you are doing amazing" said Flint as I wanted to laugh. "I will tell you that story tomorrow if you come by again" said Flint. "Okay" I said as I looked at Ernest and Flint. I really did want to see more of what they did here. "Sure" said Ava even though I knew she hated Ernest's job interest.

"Yeah let's come tomorrow" I said happily. They laughed as they saw how excited I am. Maybe Ernest really is happier here. His family should be glad that he has fell in love with something. I couldn't be happier for Ernest. I still wanted to know what he was talking about but I guess I can always find out any other day.
