Ruby's POV

"Honey come on" yelled my mother from down stairs. "I'm coming" I said as I walked downstairs with my suitcase. I dragged it down the stairs. It hit each step and made a loud sound as it came down the rest of the steps. Once I got to the bottom of the steps I put my suitcase down by the door. I put my makeup bag on top of my luggage.

"Do you want any jam tarts" asked my mother. She knew those were my favorite. "No I'm good" I said having to turn her down. Today was a hard day since my grandmother passed away. I didn't want to be overjoyed with jam tarts. Especially well my dad was wanting to see her body.

My dad walked inside the house from the front door and joined us by the counter. "Here" said my mom as she handed him jam tarts and a plate of strawberries. He grabbed the plate and took a bite of the jam tart. "Why aren't you eating" asked my dad. "I'm not hungry" I said lying.

"Come on these are your favorite" said my mom as she even placed a bowl of strawberries in front of me. I shook my head no because I didn't want to be happy with my strawberries. They are my favorite and I didn't want to feel out. "Honey it's okay" said my mother as she smiled at me.

I grabbed a strawberry and took a bite. It was really sweet and the taste was amazing. I licked my lips once I was finished eating. I put the stem on the plate. "Come on bring your plate in the car" said my mom as she walked towards the front door. My dad grabbed napkins and walked ahead of her.

I grabbed my stuff and my mom locked the door behind me. My dad unlocked the car. I got in the backseat and put my stuff in. I placed my plate on the seat next to me. I got in and closed the door. I put my seatbelt in while everyone was ready to go. My dad turned on the car and soon started to drive.

I eat my strawberries as I leaned my head against the  window as music was playing in the background. I couldn't help but look at the window the whole time we are driving. I watched as we left this town and even when there was nothing. After awhile I saw a city come up. I knew we we're almost there.

The city was buzzing with excitement. Everything looked so much better. There were so many big buildings and tons of people crowded the streets. It was only a few hours away from home but it felt like a whole other universe. As we we're driving I saw two motorcycles drive right next to us.

I saw the black motorcycle right next to my window. It was a guy in all back biker outfit. The other one was on a white motorcycle with a white biker outfit. It was two guys driving side by side. They both looked good but I couldn't see their faces. I watched as they passed by us. They we're going very fast.

I saw other cars and trucks driving passed us too. I noticed we turned into a gate that welcomed us into Beverly Hills. My jaw dropped when I looked at everything around here. We kept driving up the street until we got to mansions. All the houses on top of the hill were mansions. I couldn't believe this is were my grandmother Teliah lived.

My dad drove to one of the houses and parked I. The driveway. I unblocked and opens her door once my dad parked the car. I got out to stretch my legs. "Hello Chloe and Ryan Royle" said a man as he walked out of the house. "Hi" my dad said. My mom and dad started to walk towards him.

"I am Clarence the butler" the man said in a suit. We smiled as he was introducing himself. He was talking about the house but suddenly I hear a motorcycle drive up. I turned to see the black motorcycle from before. I watched as he drove in the driveway next door to me. I wasn't listening to them talk about the house because I was distracted with the guy.

I just as he put his kickstand down. He slowly got off the bike and took his helmet off. I couldn't help but stare at his face. I noticed him looking towards us. I turned my head from him. I was trying to focus on what my parents were talking about. I noticed my parents walking inside the house and I followed after them. I looked back to the guy and he looked hot.

His face was amazing and so was his jaw line. I turned away from him again and walked into my grandmothers mansion. As I walked in I saw all the walls had pictures of my grandmother Teliah. She was dressed like a queen of England. She had ball gowns and crowns in every photo.

I couldn't believe this is where I would be living. "Come in and look at this document of your mother's will" said Clarence. My father grabbed it and read it silently to himself. "It says to have her inheritance we must move in permanently" said my dad shocked. "What" said my mom. I looked at them confused.

"It is what you're mother would have wanted" said Clarence. My father looked uneasy with it. My mom put her hand on his shoulder. "I think it is for the best" said my mom. I looked at both of them realizing that we would actually live here from now on. I was practically jumping up and down.

I was going to move here but I remembered what about everything back home. I still have to finish my senior year. Without a doubt I was happy but what did it mean for my new life to begin. I followed my father who went back to the car to fetch our stuff. I was so excited to move in.
