Ruby's POV. A few weeks later

Me and Ernest haven't stopped talking and today Ava asked Ernest to pick me up from school. We we're all hanging out at the motorcycle shop. Ava was held up at a photoshoot and Charles was off today. This was the only time Charles has took the time off since school started.

I was standing in the parking lot meant for student drivers. I noticed Jacob and Liam in the parking lot smoking. I was waiting for Ernest and minding my own business. Once Ernest pulled up in Ava's car I got in. I knew I felt a glare from the back of my head. I had to ignore them because those two weren't good for me. They we're spoiled dogs that I can't stand.

I buckled my seat belt and Ernest drove us away from the school. "So when are we going to make things official" asked Ernest. I looked at him unsure of what he was talking about. "What" I asked him. "Seriously I just want to be with you" said Ernest as if he wasn't joking. I never saw him as mush as the joking type but it made me see that he wanted this.

"I am honestly tired of beating around the bush since I met you" said Ernest as he was starting to ramble. Ernest never was the type to ramble either. "What are you telling me" I said hoping I could stop him from going off track. "I'm sitting up awake at five fifteen in the morning because I can't get you out of my head" said Ernest as his palms were sweating.

I looked at him and the whole world stopped. I have honestly liked Ernest since I arrived here in the car on the freeway. I saw his motorcycle and my eyes went straight to him. I even found out we are neighbors. That was not just a coincidence. It felt more than that. I even became friends with Ava.

That is his very own sister. I met his rival and I dated him and no matter what Jacob pushed me closer to Ernest. I began to worry about him more then Jacob.
It showed every time Jacob got in the way. I payed more attention to Ernest because of Jacob. I saw Ernest's dreams and wishes. That was real.

What I saw with Ernest was a future. He was always protective and caring. Sure the whole Sander's family are unfazed but Ernest shows more emotions then any of them. When he talks about the motorcycle shop and how he wants to work on what he loves. I couldn't help but want that craving.

I wanted to be so devoted to something that even I would love to do in the future. I don't have to work a day in my life but I am still going to. I just need to know that there is something that I love just as much so I can work there for the rest of my life. I looked at Ernest since I couldn't help but think about it.

"I honestly have been waiting forever" I said happily. I knew what I wanted because it was so obvious. Ernest was always there he was also the better choice. Why would I not say no to him. Ernest was trying to ask me out and make us officially dating. "Is that a yes" asked Ernest in a cute nervous voice.

"Of course" I said as I smiled brightly. I couldn't believe this was happening. I felt a lot of butterflies flying in my stomach. I couldn't help the feeling that was inside of me. My hands were sweating and I saw my chance to really show how much I wanted this. We stopped at a red light and I noticed his hands were probably as sweaty as mine.

I grabbed his hand from the wheel and he held onto mine. We we're holding hands but I noticed that Ernest gave me the most sweetest look that I adored. He was just as happy as I am. I slid my thumb against his skin and I noticed he was becoming relaxed. It was just a tiny gesture with many meanings. It was a innocent one at that.

He smiled at me and the sparkle in his eye never left. I looked back at Ernest admiring his face and the way he looked down at me. Ernest turned back to the road since the light was green. Ernest didn't let go of my hand instead he held it more tightly as he placed out connected hands and twisted fingers in between the both of us. He started to drive again.

I felt as if I was in a haze that would never wash over. I turned away and looked out the window trying to take picture of what had just happened. It was a beautiful day that went with even something more amazing then I could imagine. I was dating Ernest Sanders the man who actually cares and wants a future that he is willing to fight for.

I couldn't help but keep staring out at the window but every time I would catch myself looking at our hands still connected. I brushed my thumb against his skin while he kept driving I knew that this was the moment I have been wanting to have with someone special. I was looking forward to talk to Ernest all the time and now I was able too.

Things really did change between us ever since he started texting me good morning. How could I not be opened to the thought of us dating. He gave me attention that was like no other man. He didn't need me for money like his brother or the guys from school. I was able to be my own person with my own dreams around him. He wanted to listen to me.

I couldn't help but love that one of us was able to say something. This was a whole dream come true. Ernest was the first guy I met and now I could be hoping that he is the last. I moved my body closer towards him since I was comfortable. I watched as he took us all the way to the motorcycle shop. We both had very exciting news to tell the others.
