There are so many rumor going around weather Jesus went to hell for 3 days after being crucified to preach ?

Or

As it is written that Jonah was 3 days and 3 night in belly of fish so as the son of man will be 3 day and 3 night in heart of earth ! So does that means Jesus was in hell ?

Well the answer is "NO" he didn't

And here why .....

In Luke 23:42‭-‬43," Then he said to Jesus, “Lord, remember me when You come into Your kingdom.” And Jesus said to him, “Assuredly, I say to you, today you will be with Me in Paradise.”

John 19:30," So when Jesus had received the sour wine, He said, “It is finished!” And bowing His head, He gave up His spirit."

Luke 23:46," And when Jesus had cried out with a loud voice, He said, “Father, ‘into Your hands I commit My spirit.’ ” Having said this, He breathed His last. "

Jesus came to earth for fulfilling the will of father and after finishing he work as we can see in John 19:30, Jesus gave up his spirit to the Father (luke 23:46)

No only that but as we can see in luke 23:43 Jesus told that person who was crucified with him that ' today he will be with him at paradise'

Jesus came to preach the good news of father lord and not only that but he knew his purpose,  was the to shed his blood to save all mankind. And as he shed his blood and take all the sins of human race, he open the door of salvation for us.  He came to justify us by his blood

In I John 1:7‭-‬8," But if we walk in the light as He is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus Christ His Son cleanses us from all sin. If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. "

Romans 5:9," Much more then, having now been justified by His blood, we shall be saved from wrath through Him."

But now questions arises that it is also written that he went and preach the spirit and 8 souls were saved. As we can see in I Peter 3:18‭-‬20," For Christ also suffered once for sins, the just for the unjust, that He might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh but made alive by the Spirit, by whom also He went and preached to the spirits in prison, who formerly were disobedient, when once the Divine longsuffering waited in the days of Noah, while the ark was being prepared, in which a few, that is, eight souls, were saved through water."

if we read this verse one more time , we can clearly see that it is talking about the days of Noah , Noah was preparing ark during that time, spirit of god preach flesh but they disobey. And lastly only 8 souls were saved.

In old testament many times prophets prophesied beforehand about what is going to be happen in new testament and revealing us future.

I Peter 1:10‭-‬11 ," Of this salvation the prophets have inquired and searched carefully, who prophesied of the grace that would come to you, searching what, or what manner of time, the Spirit of Christ who was in them was indicating when He testified beforehand the sufferings of Christ and the glories that would follow."

And in scriptures it is clearly mentioned that once we die, we will be standing in front of god for the judgement. There is no second chance or i can say you might not able to have second chance again.

Hebrews 9:27 ," And as it is appointed for men to die once, but after this the judgment,"

Our soul is dead, but god is still giving us chance to receive him and make our Spirit alive in him. Before receiving christ we all are dead, dead by soul, but as we hear gospel and we accept him , he renew our soul and we become alive in sprit of god.

I Peter 4:6 ," For this reason the gospel was preached also to those who are dead, that they might be judged according to men in the flesh, but live according to God in the spirit."

And lastly i want you to read this story.....
Luke 16: 19-31, “There was a certain rich man who was clothed in purple and fine linen and fared sumptuously every day. But there was a certain beggar named Lazarus, full of sores, who was laid at his gate, desiring to be fed with the crumbs which fell from the rich man’s table. Moreover the dogs came and licked his sores. So it was that the beggar died, and was carried by the angels to Abraham’s bosom. The rich man also died and was buried. And being in torments in Hades, he lifted up his eyes and saw Abraham afar off, and Lazarus in his bosom. “Then he cried and said, ‘Father Abraham, have mercy on me, and send Lazarus that he may dip the tip of his finger in water and cool my tongue; for I am tormented in this flame.’ But Abraham said, ‘Son, remember that in your lifetime you received your good things, and likewise Lazarus evil things; but now he is comforted and you are tormented. And besides all this, between us and you there is a great gulf fixed, so that those who want to pass from here to you cannot, nor can those from there pass to us.’ “Then he said, ‘I beg you therefore, father, that you would send him to my father’s house, for I have five brothers, that he may testify to them, lest they also come to this place of torment.’ Abraham said to him, ‘They have Moses and the prophets; let them hear them.’ And he said, ‘No, father Abraham; but if one goes to them from the dead, they will repent.’ But he said to him, ‘If they do not hear Moses and the prophets, neither will they be persuaded though one rise from the dead.’ ”

We need to understand the realm of death.
In Greek Hades also means grave, a temporary place of tornament. The judgement day is soon going to come.

Revelation 20:11‭-‬15 ," Then I saw a great white throne and Him who sat on it, from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away. And there was found no place for them. And I saw the dead, small and great, standing before God, and books were opened. And another book was opened, which is the Book of Life. And the dead were judged according to their works, by the things which were written in the books. The sea gave up the dead who were in it, and Death and Hades delivered up the dead who were in them. And they were judged, each one according to his works. Then Death and Hades were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death. And anyone not found written in the Book of Life was cast into the lake of fire."
