Shannon's POV

Me and Lucas just finish hanging out with Catherine, and we are now on our way to the hotel. I will say throughout my interaction with her I can tell she adores Lucas to death, and him the same. I found out that she likes to draw and write.

Some other things I got to learn about her is; whenever she gets too excited while talking, she would have a difficult time speaking and forming sentences. Lucas would always repeat to her gently with a smile to calm down and breathe. When she felt it was taking her too long to calm down she would try to write her words in her kindergarten writing journal.

Her caretaker explained that the kindergarten style journal helped her better when trying to stay inside the lines.

Me and Lucas ended up staying until ten. Which was way past her bedtime apparently, but of course she didn't care. We knew it was time to go when things like writing and talking started to take too much of a toll on her. I can tell seeing her go through that, made Lucas sad; you could see it all over his face.

Even though Lucas would always try to cut things short and tell her it's time to lay down, she refused because she wasn't ready for him to leave yet. However, he knew she was going through some pain when interacting. It was time for her to be alone to regenerize. However, Lucas finally was able to convince her to lay it down.

My poor princess.

"Shannon, why don't you go get a bath and relax while I cook us a quick dinner." he says, as he opens the door to our presidential suite.

"You sure?" I ask, walking in front of him.

"Mmhm. Now go so you can be done in time for dinner." he says, closing the door behind him while bringing our bags in.

Walking away to go to the door where I think the bed room is I get a call from Tyler.

S: "Hello?" I answer, dropping my purse on the bed.

T: "Ms. Jackson, I have great news! The information we've been digging for has finally been dug up. When do you want to put this action into place?" Tyler asks, excitedly.

S: "Oh that's great! Um, start working on it now and I'll fly out to America to see where we are at with things and to know what our next step is."

T: "Okay, yes ma'am. I'll keep you updated. Also Ms. Jackson have you thought any more about what I said?"

Letting out a sigh I answer.

S: "Yes Tyler, I have."

T: "And?"

S: "I'll try giving him a call." I answer, irritated at the fact I'm going to have to call Dante.

T: "I think that is very wise of you to do. I understand the predicament that is going on at the moment, but from a strictly business standpoint this is a very strategic move that will benefit you greatly in the end without you getting your hands dirty."

S: "Wait Tyler—"

T: "Ms. Jackson you are top priority always—"

S: "Tyler I understand that—"

T: "I'm glad you do Ms. Jackson. At the end of the day business is business, and there is nothing the great Mr. Dante Marino can't get himself out of."

Hold on now Tyler I understand we mad, but a bitch don't wanna die yet.

S: "Tyler, what exactly do you have planned."

T: "Don't worry about it just know things are being taken care of. From a legal perspective you are clean as whistle I've already worked with Linda and our legal team about it.

S: "Hey now I know you are upset just as much as the girls, but calm down when fucking with Dante I still would like to see the day Story gives me grandchildren."

T: "Yes, Yes now get some rest it should be a little after ten o'clock where you're at."

With that he hang up the phone.

I swear to god him and the girls better not get me into no shit.

Looking at my phone screen I debate whether or not to call Dante.

Leave it alone Shannon.

Brushing it off, I hear Lucas walking in the room with our bags.

"I lied. I forgot there wasn't any food in here to cook so I order room service." he says, putting our bags by the wall of the room.

"That's fine." I answer, feeling slightly stressed.

I gotta call the girls cause I know they bitch asses is behind this too.

"Are you alright?"

"Mmhm." I answer, making my way to the balcony.

I look out into the bright night to see; the bright and snow filled town before me. People laughing, kids playing, couples having a late night romantic outing, women and men packed tightly into stores and cafes. All while in the mist of the cool crisp December night air, with the only thing lightning their paths is lamp posts and the decorated Christmas lights that's strung all around.

Admiring the happy people, I feel Lucas presence behind me. Instead of showing a sign of me acknowledging his presence, I just keep looking out onto the town.

Seeing this sight before me I can't help, but to miss him a little and to think of the little saying I always use to say to him on this day.

I feel Lucas's warm hands touch my exposed back, he then moves them down to get a hold of my dress to unzip it.

"You don't have a coat on sweetheart, come on inside and go take a bath to relax until the food comes." he states, in a deep voice that I couldn't help but to get chills from.

He places a light kiss on my neck to then excuse himself from the balcony. The only indication I have of him leaving from behind me is his shoes clicking on the freshly polished floors.

Soon a smile graces my face as I see a little boy and girl playing in the snow roughly. I couldn't help but to have certain memories play in my head. Looking down at my left middle finger where the ring he gave me lies. I start to have my thumb to play with it.

"Happy Snowy Birthday, Nicolás." I whisper, looking at the ring.
