"Lucas, stop fucking around." Shannon says, trying to pull the dress from me.

"Come on, let me just see." I say, trying to reach for the covered clothes hanger.

"No, you'll see later on tonight." she says.

"How come you get to see my suit, but I can't see your dress."

"Because this might not be the one I'm going to wear." she answers, walking away.

She can't be serious.

"Shannon we leave in a hour for the dinner." I say, with a straight face.

"I knowwwwww, but Lucas I'm not in the mood to wear this dress."

She's gonna wear that damn dress, we are not going to be late.

"Then what are you going to wear then?!"

"Don't get frustrated with me damnit. I have another dress, it's just on the plane."

The plane?!

First she teases me in the shower, now she wants to switch up her whole outfit. It takes just an hour to get to the house and to the plane!

"Sh—"

"Lucas, calm down." my dad says, standing in the doorway.

"Yeah!" my uncle says, standing next to him.

"Me and Robert are going to take her to get her stuff from off the plane, while you help your aunt with the boys." my dad says.

You've got to be kidding me.

"Yeah, since we all know how much you want to be on time and stuff." my aunt says, entering the conversation.

I would like to show up with my wife, instead of us showing up separately.

"You know the dinner doesn't start until eight right?" Jason says, walking in with some grapes and laying on the bed.

This is why I don't leave my bedroom door open. Little pest like him show up at the wrong times.

"Great! It's settled!" Shannon says, happily.

Excuse me?! No the hell its not.

"Alright then, Shannon we'll see you in a hour. Make sure all your stuff is packed because remember we will be staying at the house." my dad says.

"Yes sir." Shannon says, smiling.

"Don't call me that, I'm not old. Michael or dad will be just fine to address me as." he says, turning around and leaving.

Everyone follows him out, but Jason. Shannon then goes to the bathroom to do her makeup.

"So...what did you and dad talk about last night?" I ask.

"Nothing." he mumbles.

Bullshit.

"Bullshit." I state, rolling on my side.

"Just don't worry about it."

"Ja—"

"I don't want to talk about it." he stresses.

I knew this would happen, but who was I to defy my dad. Jason and my dad usually don't see eye to eye, mostly because of miss communication. My dad isn't one too keen on showing his emotions, and same with Jason. It's usually one or the other not being sensitive to other at the time of need. I mean the love is there and evident for both of them, it just needs to be communicated a little better.
