The end of the summer came by too quickly. Delilah was looking forward to going back to Hogwarts, but she had liked life at the Burrow. It was hard not to be jealous of Ginny, especially when she thought of the welcome she'd get the next time she went back to Privet Drive.

On their last evening, Mrs. Weasley conjured an amazing dinner that included all of Harry's, and few of Delilah's, favorite things. Fred and George rounded off the evening with a display of Filibuster fireworks that Delilah had helped plan; they filled the kitchen with red, blue, and silver stars that bounced from ceiling to wall for at least thirty minutes. Then it was time for a last mug of hot chocolate and bed.

The next morning it took everyone a long time to get started. Though Mrs. Weasley woke them up at dawn, they somehow still seemed to have so much to do. Mrs. Weasley dashed about in a bad mood looking for spare socks and quills; people kept colliding on the stairs, half-dressed with bits of toast in their hands; and Mr. Weasley nearly broke his neck tripping over a stray chicken as he crossed the yard carrying Ginny's trunk to the car.

Delilah couldn't see how nine people, seven with large trunks, two owls, and a rat were going to fit into one small Ford Anglia, but then she realized that it had probably been enchanted.

When at last they all were in the car, Mrs. Weasley glanced into the back seat, where Harry, Delilah, Ron, Fred, George, and Percy were all sitting comfortably side by side, and said, "Muggles do know more than we give them credit for, don't they?" She and Ginny got into the front seat, which had been stretched so that it resembled a park bench. "I mean, you'd never know it was this roomy from the outside, would you?"

Mr. Weasley started up the engine and Delilah looked back, wondering if she'd ever be back. And then, she was. George had forgotten his box of Filibuster fireworks. Five minutes later they had to stop in the yard so that Fred could run back for his broomstick. Just when they almost reached the highway when Ginny realized that she'd left her diary. By the time she had clambered back into the car, they were running very late, and tempers were running high.

Mr. Weasley tried to convince Mrs. Weasley to let them fly but she said no, with a lot of shouting.

They reached King's Cross with only fifteen minutes to spare. Mr. Weasley dashed across the road to get trolleys for their trunks and they all hurried into the station.

"Percy first," said Mrs. Weasley.

Precy went and then Mr. Weasely; Fred, George, and then Delilah went just after Mrs. Weasley and Ginny.

They hurried through and found their seats. Delilah quickly found an empty compartment and sat down. Soon enough, a girl Delilah didn't recognize opened the door.

"Um, do you mind if I sit here? Everywhere else is full..." Delilah nodded and the girl sat down. She had straight brown hair and hazel eyes.

"I'm Delilah, a second year."

"I'm Lyra Moonshine. I'm also a second year but I just transferred from Beauxbatons. At first my father thought Beauxbatons would be better, he's a Muggle and didn't quite understand, but he didn't like me so far away from home."

Lyra had a quiet, calm voice that sounded nervous, which was natural.

"That's cool, do you know what house you'll be in?"

She nodded. "Yes, I got tested just after school ended last year. I'll be in Ravenclaw."

"Oh that's cool, would you mind telling me about Beauxbatons? I haven't really heard about it."

"Sure," Lyra went on to tell Delilah how Beauxbatons was a great school, but way too fancy and had some really mean girls, like one named Fleur Delacour who thought she was better than everyone just because she was a quarter veela, but other than that it sounded nice. It taught a lot of charms and alchemy. It had three houses, Papillonlisse, Ombrelune, and Bellefeuille. Lyra had been in Ombrelune which valued curiosity, logic, and ambition, so it seemed to be mostly Ravenclaw with a bit of Slytherin. Papillonlisse was all about kindness and being good natured, like Hufflepuff. Bellefeuille, Fleur's house, was known for being brave, sensitive, and caring, so a mix of Gryffindor and Hufflepuff.

It seemed like a fun school, but Delilah still preferred Hogwarts.

Delilah then told her all about Hogwarts, including the four houses and what they meant, the ghosts, secret passageways, classes, and how Quidditch was huge. Apparently it hadn't been that big at Beauxbatons.

When Lyra had found out that Harry Potter was Delilah's brother, she was surprised, but not a total fangirl of him like some of the other people she had met.

By the time they were done talking, it was dark out and they had already gotten treats from the trolley and changed into their uniforms.

Something had been nagging Delilah though. Where was Harry? At first she had assumed he had found a compartment with Ron, but by the time they arrived at Hogwarts, she was worried. She tried to convince herself that even if they had missed the train, they'd do the sensible thing and either wait for Mr. and Mrs. Weasley or send an owl to Hogwarts, but the rumors, and Delilah's common sense, claimed otherwise.

People were saying that Harry Potter and his friend had flown a car to Hogwarts, some would even swear that they had flown next to the train and asked their compartment for some of the trolley's candy.

The train stopped and heard Hagrid calling to the first years. Delilah and Lyra followed the majority of the students to some horseless carriages.

Delilah and Lyra got into one followed by some random students she didn't recognize and they headed off to school.

The ride was enjoyable. They traveled through a thick forest and quickly enough got to the castle.

By the time they got there, Delilah still hadn't seen Harry, but the rumors couldn't be true, could they? But they were Gryffindors who tended not to think things through, so it was possible they had flown Mr. Weasley's car to Hogwarts, but they weren't that stupid, were they?

Delilah said goodbye to Lyra when they got to the Great Hall and walked to the Slytherin table and sat by Draco.

During the sorting she didn't pay attention but did catch that Ginny was in Gryffindor, which wasn't surprising.

Dinner appeared on the plates and despite being worried, Delilah still ate. After she got the new password, Merlin, she made her way to Hermione.

"Hey Hermione, have you seen Harry and Ron?" she asked.

"No, I was hoping you had. Do you believe the rumors?"

"I would hope they wouldn't be that idiotic, but they are that type of Gryffindor, so I could see it being true but it is just rumor."

Hermione nodded. "True, if they did though, the idiots!"

Delilah smiled at that.

"We should probably go to our dorms, if you see Harry, slap him for me please."

Delilah headed to her dormitory and unpacked. She had the same room as the previous year. She unpacked her things and went to bed, hoping that Harry was okay.
