Delilah sat on her bed, finishing a letter to Remus. He had sent her another letter a few days into the summer holiday with his owl, so she didn't have to be constantly using Hedwig.

Just as she was finishing, she heard Harry sit straight up in bed. He looked pale and was clutching his scar.

"What happened? Are you alright?" Delilah quietly asked him.

He nodded, before shaking his head.

"N-nightmare. Voldemort killed an old man, he wasn't alone though he was talking to... someone. I don't remember it much now, but it was freaky. My scar hurts now too."

Delilah paused. So far his scar had only hurt when Voldemort had been near him, but he couldn't be nearby, but then why was his scar hurting?

"I don't know why that would be, but maybe you should write to Sirius and ask him, he might know."

"Thanks, you're brilliant," Harry said, still clutching his head, sweat dripping from his face.

"Yeah, and even though she isn't back yet, you can still write the letter so that as soon as she's recovered she can send it out."

Harry nodded, and stood up. He moved the book he had been reading before, Flying with the Cannons, aside and started writing.

As soon as he was done he handed it to Delilah for inspection. It read:

Dear Sirius,

Thanks for your last letter. That bird was enormous; it could hardly get through my window. Things are the same as usual here. Dudley's diet isn't going too well. My aunt found him smuggling doughnuts into his room yesterday. They told him they'd have to cut his pocket money if he keeps doing it, so he got really angry and chucked his PlayStation out of the window. That's a sort of computer thing you can play games on. Bit stupid really, now he hasn't even got Mega-Mutilation Part Three to take his mind off things.

I'm okay, Delilah is too, mainly because the Dursleys are terrified you might turn up and turn them all into bats if I ask you to.

A weird thing happened this morning, though. My scar hurt again. Last time that happened it was because Voldemort was at Hogwarts. But I don't reckon he can be anywhere near me now, can he? Do you know if curse scars sometimes hurt years afterward?

I'll send this with Hedwig when she gets back; she's off hunting at the moment.

Say hello to Buckbeak for me.

Harry

"Yes, this looks fine. Do you want me to rub your back before you go back to bed?" Delilah offered.

Whenever one of them was really stressed, the other rubbed their back, it was oddly relaxing and helped them feel better.

"Nah, it's late enough that we can just go downstairs for breakfast. Did you get any sleep last night?" Harry asked, realizing that she had already been up.

"Oh, I got a few hours," Delilah lied. She had actually got less than an hour. She had trouble falling asleep and paired with her knack of waking up early.... It was a bad combination.

Strangely enough, Harry believed her. He usually could tell when she was lying. It must have been the dream, she reasoned. It did seem pretty unnerving.

"You didn't mention the dream to Sirius," Delilah stated, changing the topic.

He shrugged. "It doesn't seem too important."

"Harry, it could be the reason your scar hurt."

He just gave her another shrug. Delilah rolled her eyes. Honestly, sometimes he made no sense.
