Chapter 55: It's All About Confidence

Diana is currently seen sitting in a wheelchair in front of the mirror in her room. She had a sad look on her face.

Ever since the accident, she's had a tough time, her family fights a lot more than they used to and she blames herself.

The doctors said there was a chance she could walk again but she hasn't even tried to, she hasn't felt movement in her legs since the accident.

Diana sighs as she looks down.

Betty: Diana.

She turns and sees her mom in the doorway.

Betty: Your uncle is here.

Diana: Alright.

*Outside*

Daikon is seen getting out of his car as Kenta comes out to him.

Kenta: I was wondering when you'd come home.

Daikon: I've been busy. But I'm here now. How is she?

Kenta: She's holding on. Where's Drake? Thought he was coming too.

Daikon: He and Alexa are on their way.

Kenta: And Rebecca?

Daikon: She is visiting with her family. But she sends her love.

Kenta goes over and helps Daikon with his suitcases and the two head inside.

Ruby: Hey big brother.

Daikon; Hey Ruby.

Ruby gives Daikon a hug.

Daikon: How are you?

Ruby: I'm okay. How are you?

Daikon: Oh you know, same old, same old.

Betty then comes walking down the stairs as Daikon sees her.

Daikon: Hey where is she?

Betty: In her room. She doesn't wanna come down.

Daikon: I'll talk to her.

Daikon goes to walk.

Betty: She doesn't wanna talk to you.

Daikon: What? Why not?

Betty: She's upset Daikon.

Ruby: I'll talk to her.

Betty: She doesn't wanna talk to any of us.

Daikon: Okay then who does she wanna talk to?

Betty: Drake.

*On the road*

Drake and Lexi are driving while Alexa takes pictures of their road trip.

Drake: You love your pictures, don't you?

Lexi: Obviously. So have you talked to Orchid's grandparents yet?

Drake: *Sighs* Not yet but I will. I haven't exactly worked up to it yet but I will.

Lexi smiles and grabs Drake's hand as she takes another picture of the two of them.

Lexi: I'm proud of you.

Drake: I'd hope so.

*Time Skip*

Outside the house, Drake and Lexi pull into the driveway where they see Daikon, Ruby and Betty waiting on the porch. The three of them walk down the porch and head towards the car as Drake stops the car and gets out.
