Reader Info: The Spirit Tree of Nibel.
All know that it is responsible for keeping the forest alive and it produces Spirits of light to protect the forest.
What most do not know is that deep underground there is a dark force that acts as the opposite of the Spirit Tree.
It is Shadow Root.
For a long time the Spirit Tree and Shadow Root have been balanced, but when Kuro took the light and made the forest blind, the Shadow Root began growing in power, and it forsook balance for the sake of growing.
The Shadow Root grew powerful enough to even produce a Spirit of its own.
A Spirit of pure shadow and darkness that it sent up to the surface to spread it's influence.
This spirit is you, (Y/N) the Shadow Imp.
However, when the light returned something went wrong and when you were birthed and sent up to the surface you had no memory of your origin.
So here you were, a little imp with no memory left to fend for yourself, luckily a certain spirit found you and a special bond was formed.

Ori: The Spirit that helped the Forest regain it's sight, Ori found you unconscious and despite your dark aura brought you in.
She wants to help you find where you came from as well as help you adjust to life in Nibel.
You both bonded quite quickly despite being literal opposites and eventually feelings blossomed.
However, Nibel is soon in trouble as a new threat begins to corrupt the land.
A corruption that Ori eventually finds out you are connected with.
Extra Notes: This takes place directly after the first game and before Will of the Wisps.
