Reader Info: You were part of a Species of sharks in Outworld that resided in a village hidden in mist.
You were part of a division known as the Cipher corps, a group of warriors in charge of gathering covert information and protecting the land from the shadows.
Your master and head of the Cipher corps was Fuguki Suikazan, a member of the 7 Swordsmen of the Mist.

Fuguki Suikazan:
The 7 Swordsmen were powerful warriors who each wielded legendary weapons and were among the strongest.
Your master in particular wielded Samehada, a living sword made from scales and had a maw containing sharp shark-like teeth.
You were incredibly loyal to your people and one day before a mission, Fuguki instructed you should your team ever be cornered to safeguard the information you all had as the strongest member of this group you must kill them.
This mission did not go well, indeed you all were cornered and you unfortunately had to kill your own comrades.
With them dead you were able to flee and make your way back to the land hidden in the mist.
You made your way to your Master to tell him what happened.
When you reached your master's chamber you found him selling off the info you and your now dead team had gathered for more profit.
This understandably angered you and in a rage you attacked Fuguki and despite being his subordinate you proved stronger and killed him.
The leader of your village walked in suddenly and saw what you had done and congratulated you allowing you to inherit Samehada and take your Master's place as one of the 7 Swordsmen.

You with Samehada:
For a good while you kept on defending your village and killing anyone who posed a threat to it.
Eventually Shao Kahn decided to recruit your village for the Mortal Kombat tournament and represent Outworld.
The mist village valued power and combat over all and reveled in bloodshed so the leader accepted allowing you and the other swordsmen to compete for Outworld.
In turn Shao Kahn promised the Mist village would prosper and flourish once he has taken over all the relams.
Of course that's why you were fine with serving Shao Kahn, you simply wished to help your village.
With Samehada you would ensure your village's future.
Powers and Abilities: You have the ability to control water in various ways, such as forming them into sharks and have them attack your opponent.
With Samehada you have the power to steal the Chakra of your Foes with each slash you land.
Your power and combat skill are among the best in mist village as even compared to the 7 Swordsmen you are the strongest.
You also only get stronger in the rain as when it rains and you become completely soaked you take on a new form.
