You and Amanda have been friends for a long time, from kindergarten all the way to college.
You were inseparable, but even you were surprised when you found out she became mayor of a place called "New Leaf."
However, your surprise was soon replaced with joy for your friend.
She was always the more responsible out of the 2 of you, maybe that's why she has a job while you're still looking for one.
Luckily, Amanda came to the rescue for that little problem and offered you a place in New Leaf and a chance to get a job there.
You obviously jumped at this chance and went to New Leaf and lived among the many anthropomorphic animals.
Now you just needed a job in a town run by your best friend.
Of course you did not ask for any special treatment or help as you wanted to do something on your own for once.
You both still hang out and you've met a lot of new friends.
Some of them want you as more than just a friend though.
