CASSIDY
Everett got away. Damn bastard. Rossi was the only person really angry, considering Everett could have killed him, but instead, he left, leaving a scar on Rossi's forehead.

As for me, I had at least 15 stitches applied to the slash on my arm that seemed shallow at first, but we all came to find out that it was pretty deep, only a few inches from hitting the bone.

The team and I sat on the plane, heading back to Quantico. Spencer sat opposite me. As much as he wanted to be the caring and loving boyfriend I knew he was, he couldn't sit next to me. Not without earning a few weird looks. So, he opted to sit opposite me, giving me a few loving glances every now and again. He'd also glance at my bandaged arm, a look of sorrow and sadness on his face. He clearly wished that I wasn't injured, but shit happened and he understood that.

The moment we landed, the team and I headed back to the BAU. Not for any particular reason, but it was just a common practice for us to head back to the office before going our separate ways.

Spencer and I had been messaging each other since we arrived back on the ground.

Spencer: Dinner, tonight at 7 PM?

Me: Sounds lovely.

Penelope rushed out and gave all of us a hug, giving better hugs to Rossi and I, considering we were both injured.

"We need to go out. We need to go out and just relax!" Penelope suggested. Everyone nodded, even Rossi. Spencer and I were the only two who didn't agree.

"Nah. I think I'm just gonna head home. I don't think that drinking is a good idea, considering my pain meds and my injury." I laughed, rejecting Penelope's officer. She happily accepted my rejection before turning to Spencer.

"What about you, boy genius? You up for some drinking to relax?" Penelope walked up to him, her hands on his shoulders.

"Last time I checked, drinking isn't really something people do if they want to relax, especially if they drink copious amounts like this team seems to do. I think I'll pass. I'm just...really tired." Spencer also rejected Penelope's request. If only they knew the real reason why we both rejected her offer.

I couldn't help but smile, turning around quickly as to not let the team see. I held my go bag and walked out of the bullpen, hearing Spencer's footsteps behind me.

"Have fun without us!" I yelled, earning a thumbs up from Penelope.

"Okay. It's 5:45 right now. I'm going to book a reservation for 7 PM. I'll pick you up." Spencer kissed my forehead as we exited the FBI building.

"Sounds good. I'll see you just before 7, Dr. Reid." I smiled as we got into our respective cars, heading home.

GENERAL
At 6:35 PM, Spencer stood at his bedroom floor-length mirror, adjusting his shirt. He wore a simple pair of black suit pant that were held around his lower torso with a belt. His upper torso sported a plain white slightly-tighter fitting shirt, the sleeves folded up to his elbows. He decided against a tie or bow-tie. His hair was brushed, although knowing him, his hair wouldn't stay neat for long. He wore a pair of plain black socks with black shoes. He grabbed his badge and placed it into his pocket and put his gun underneath his pants, down in his ankle as to not freak anyone out. The moment he was happy with his appearance, he smiled, heading toward the entrance to his apartment.

At 6:35 PM, Cassidy stood at her floor-length mirror, applying a light face of makeup. She wore a long-sleeved red shirt with black pants that were held to her lower torso with a belt. She wanted to wear something that was not only comfortable, but something that could be passed off as a work outfit just in case Hotch called them in on another case. She wore a pair of socks that barely went up to her ankles and she sported a pair of shiny black boots heeled boots. She curled her hair a little bit, not wanting to look too dolled up for the date. She did consider exposing her bandaged arm, but decided against it, knowing that she didn't want people wondering what happened when they might have seen it. She grabbed her badge and put it in her pocket while putting her gun in her purse.

By the time 6:45 PM came around, Cassidy could hear the faint sound of knocking on her front door. She opened it up and smiled at the sight of Spencer with a bouquet of flowers in his hand.

"Good evening Cassidy." Spencer gently held her hand, kissing it. She blushed, putting the bouquet into a vase of water. Within 2 minutes the pair were in Spencer's car.

"You look very beautiful, Cassidy. I can't believe I have a girlfriend as beautiful and awesome as you." Spencer kept looking over at her as he drove.

"You look every handsome, Spencer. I really can't believe that I have a boyfriend as handsome and smart as you." She complimented him, a smile plastered on her face.

When the pair arrived at the restaurant, Cassidy couldn't help but be amazed at how beautiful the place was and how much variety there was. They quickly ordered and within 20 minutes, both of them had food in front of them.

"How's your arm? Pain meds helping?" Spencer asked, noticing that Cassidy's injured arm was covered.

"It's a bit painful, but nothing I can't handle." She chuckled, moving her arm.

After a few hours and some good food, Cassidy and Spencer headed back to her apartment.

"Tonight was lovely, Spencer. Than you." Cassidy placed a passionate kiss on his lips.

"That's what boyfriends are for. I wanted to go on a proper date with you." Spencer happily returned the kiss, deepening it by placing his arms around her torso, pulling her closer to him.

Just as things were about to get better, they both pulled away when they both felt their phones buzzing. They were about to ignore the calls, considering they thought that Penelope had drunk called them wanting to know how they were doing, but they ended up answering when Spencer saw Hotch's name on his screen and Cassidy saw JJ's name on her screen.

"Hey Hotch." Cassidy heard Spencer answer his phone.

"Hey JJ." Spencer heard Cassidy answer her phone.

They both moved away from each other, wanting to avoid either caller from hearing them. Before long, they both walked toward each other, a look of disappointment on their faces.

"Let me guess. Another case?" Cassidy exhaled.

"Yep. Let's go." Spencer rolled his eyes, placing a passionate kiss on her lips before they grabbed their respective car keys and got into their cars, hoping to avoid the team suspecting that they were hanging out together.
