This year's Games were the shortest ever at only 90 minutes. It had 20 cannons in the first 1 hour. It also featured sibling of previous tributes as the majority of them this year. This year also had the first Latinx Victor.
Reapings
District 10 was somber after losing Gillian the year before. The Female tribute chosen was 14 year old Devone Williams, sister of Boots Williams (1st Hunger Games). The Male chosen was 18 year old Jonathan Jackson, brother of Cruella from the first year. Jonathan swore as his friend Tom muttered 'fuck' under his breath.
District 5 was less tense with the Female tribute being 18 year old JJ Spencer (sister of the boy from 5 last year). JJ wasn't nervous walking up to the podium. The Male tribute chosen was 17 year old Lyson Marion. Lyson whimpered a little bit before walking up and whispering 'come on sis.' This revealed his delusion.
Games
During the bloodbath, the girl from 6 and the boy from 7 fought each other and killed each other within one minute. Jonathan killed Orbit and Ana (both 1) and Techno (3). As he did so, Wirea (3) was busy killing Marcus (6) and Wira (8). After Bran (9) committed suicide, Wirea killed Oceania (4). Afterwards, a suicide pact of Wirea, Draco (2) and Lazara (2) had happened. Gardener (11) and Olden (12) stabbed each other as JJ killed Lucia (11), Lidia (12) and Aidena (7). Ari (9), Marshall (8) and Trident (4) all committed suicide as well, finally ending the bloodbath.
An hour later, Lyson finally realized his sister had died two years ago. He then proceeded to hang himself. Shortly afterwards, Jonathan stood there crying as Devone laid on the floor, dead from blood loss. Jonathan managed to snap the neck of his friend and kill her instantly, sounding her cannon and announcing 18 year old Jonathan Walker from District 10 was the third Hunger Games winner.
Aftermath
After winning, Jonathan built a tiny memorial for his sister. He eventually got married and adopted a child who would win the 14th Games.
