"Dr. Jones!" Ross shook the sleeping archaeologist's shoulder.
Indy bolted awake as the his felt the plane drop downward. "What's going on?"
"We're over Attu, sir. Thought you might want to see the ruin." Ross pointed toward the window.
Indy turned his head, feeling the icy air tear at his face. There were no window panes in the bomber aircraft.
The airplane was circling the small blot of dark green in the frothy dark waters of the North Pacific.
"That's a barrow grave... like Newgrange, in Ireland. Probably has a passage tomb running through it," Indy murmured in shock. "What's it doing here? The local civilization didn't normally build sites like that. The stonework at sites like Newgrange would take too many food resources from the local population. They couldn't hunt, feed their families and build that."
The boy woke up. "You're gonna go in there?"
"Yeah," Indy smiled. "That's my job."
"You can't! Its cursed!"
"Getting cursed by ancient things is also my job," Indy tried to soothe.
"You don't understand! There's something still alive in there! And it eats people!"
