Indy fixed his sling to cover his mouth and nose again. "Shorty - do the same. If this gets in your lungs it won't come out. Its silica dust and toxins. I knew some American prisoners of war who got this in their lungs - they coughed up their lungs for the rest of their lives."
Shorty glanced back at the cave. "Why can't this wait til morning?"
"Because they need the space and you need a lesson."
Shorty froze. "Lesson?"
"Lesson," Indy repeated, his voice muffled under the fabric. "I've never told anyone this story - but you need to hear it so you don't make the same mistakes. It's about what happened the first time between me and Marion."
