Along the Red Sea
1947
Marion scrambled at the edge, both hands gripping the cliff. Her gloves were ripping as she slid backwards. Her boot found a desperate toe hold - and she jumped.
The rock crumbled underneath her. Her body slammed the sandstone cliff. She tensed her muscles in fury and gripped the sand.
Hanging off the side of the bluff with one hand, she knew she was falling.
Suddenly her hand gripped something small.
A crevice in the rock!
But it was enough.
