Scarlett swore KT was barely leaving her alone. She could guess why. She wasn't exactly at her best and had spent the past few days ducking into classrooms and avoiding areas altogether. She was upset and angry and KT could see that loud and clear. What Scarlett was going through was enough to break anyone, and to add a mystery ritual that would wake the dead on top of that... KT wasn't sure how Scarlett was not moving out at that very moment.

She admired the strength her friend was showing but she also knew, that wasn't forever and it was very much a front. She noticed how Scarlett's face fell when she thought no one was looking and how she snuck a lot more coffee than usual and how her makeup was slightly heavier than usual to hide the circles under her eyes. So, KT swore she would be there for the girl. Even if that meant sitting with her in the living room while she read Othello.

Her earlier outburst confirmed that Scarlett, more than ever, needed her friends and although the others knew that, they weren't there. KT saw that they weren't and made it her mission to be there instead. Sure, she wasn't as good as a years-old friend but they were elsewhere, giving Scar the space they assumed she needed. So, KT was taking the time for the first girl to make her feel welcome.

Even if they were all there, Scarlett would have still felt as alone as she did. She appreciated why they weren't. They were all going through so much to figure out this ritual but she just wished they could all take a second. Just one for everything to be okay. No worries. No stress. No impending doom if they got something wrong.

"Scar?"

Scarlett glanced up from her book, humming in response.

"Are you okay? Really?" KT asked. "With him and everything?"

Scarlett paused, shocked that she was asking her, "No. But I will be. Are you okay? This is a lot KT."

"No. But I've got you and Eddie. It's nice to know you're there for me... And just so you know that goes both ways," KT told.

Scarlett smiled, "I know. Thank you. I do really appreciate you just sitting with me, you know? Makes me feel less lonely."

KT smiled, moving to sit next to the girl, "Same here."

She pulled her into a side hug, one that Scarlett leant into, glad of the comfort. She really needed it.

Eddie came back from trying to hide the bracelet at the school. They filled him in on the fact that Victor was still on a rampage.

"Okay, well, bad news is," Eddie began pulling the bracelet out of his pocket. "I couldn't hide it. The good news, I did have some really good Chinese food, though."

"Oh, nice, where from?" Scarlett asked as KT let out a 'that's nice' and Patricia chastised him.

Victor approached from the stairs, glaring down at them from the landing.
