Trudy had surprised them all with a spread of food for when they returned. Scarlett grabbed a cupcake, passing one to KT, who couldn't reach it. The chaos was interrupted by an angry Mr Sweet clapping at them.

"Everybody, form a line now," he ordered.

"It's a little early for graduation, isn't it, Mr Sweet?" Jerome retorted.

"An exhibit went 'missing' during your museum visit," he informed.

Victor entered the room, "You heard Mr Sweet, there will be a bag check. Form a circle."

Scarlett was stood next to Eddie, who felt something in his bag. He made eye contact with her, frowning.

"Scarlett, look."

She saw the exhibit in his bag, "Fuck. Give it here."

She started to pass it round the circle, but Cassie placed it onto Alfie's plate, causing Victor to yell at them to get out. Scarlett grabbed a plate, piling food onto it. She didn't care that Victor was yelling at them.

"I'm hungry. Give me a second," she shouted back. She finished grabbing two plated. "Now I'm leaving." She stomped out, coming face to face with Cassie. "You stupid-" she seethed. "Next time place it on the table behind you or something."

Eddie grabbed her arm, slowly leading her into his room where the others were.

"I come baring food," she announced.

"You're an angel," Alfie complimented, taking a cupcake off of the plate.

She sat on Eddie's bed, leaning against him. Suddenly, the lights blew.

Scarlett grabbed Eddie's hand, "Please say you have a torch?"

He reached over to his bedside table, grabbing one and turning it on as quickly as possible, "All better?"

"Thanks."

Scarlett, who had had a fear of the dark when she was younger, had redeveloped said fear after the events of the previous two years. Sure, she wasn't a huge fan after Rufus almost shoved a deadly bug in her ear, but Senkhara had been the final straw. When she appeared to her in a dream and cursed her for death, she started keeping lights on until the other two girls in her room went to bed as well, but then she almost died. She almost died and everything had been so dark as her heartbeat slowed.

So, she became scared of the dark like she was five years old again. Her family couldn't figure out why she kept her lights on all night or why when they had a blackout she was fighting off a panic attack.

But she was.

She was terrified. Eddie's hand had been the only thing keeping her calm.

Because when it was so dark she couldn't see, she thought of nothing but the fact she'd almost died.
