There was one thing that was getting Scarlett through everything and it was the fact that Joy discovered that she and Willow were cousins. Joy was not happy and Scarlett thought it was amusing.

However, she almost threw one of the chairs on stage at someone when her and Eddie were handed a new scene only minutes before the play.

And then she almost threw one again when KT arrived backstage and tried to tell them something had happened to Fabian. The almost chair-throwing occurred when Eddie didn't believe her and instead sided with Patricia. Who had been horrible to him forever?

"Dude, maybe hear her out like once," Scarlett suggested. "And Patricia, stop being such a bitch to her, she didn't send those messages."

She moved to get into position, waiting for Eddie to follow.

Scarlett really liked Eddie but at that moment she could have killed him. He left mid-play to sort out something Sibuna-related. She understood that it could be the end of the world, blah blah blah. But she really needed a good grade. And he had left her.

Luckily, Jerome was going to sub in for Eddie and Willow was subbing in for everyone else.

Scarlett could not believe what a shit show the play was becoming, especially when Willow had a breakdown mid-show.

The curtains had to go down and Scarlett decided she did not want her grade to plummet because of everyone else. She was well and truly spiralling as all she could imagine was each and every university she applied to reject her and her having to work in retail for the rest of her life, which was for some people but definitely not her. She had to go to university, if she didn't she was pretty sure she would be killed.

"Joy, seriously, I cannot do this anymore. Willow has made me dizzy with her running around," she whispered. "I can feel my grade slipping as we continue and it's making me really anxious, I can't fail this, I have just sent off my applications and- it's stupid. I know. But I think seeing Willow freaking out is-"

"I'll go on for you. We'll lie, and say you fell ill from stress and your grade doesn't suffer. I did the writing, so my grades basically set," she offered.

"Are you- are you sure?" Scarlett muttered. "I can finish the play, I just need a minute."

"No, Scarlett. You're hyperventilating as we speak, I know drama is your thing but not when a grade is involved. Let me help you," Joy offered once more.

Scarlett nodded, agreeing. She felt more than relieved. She handed her the parts of her costume she needed.

"Now go back to the house and make this story more believable," Joy instructed.
