in which you have your first sleepover with chris
___

you were cuddled up on the couch with your boyfriend, watching a horror movie on tv. after chris had seen smile with his brothers, he insisted that you watch it too.

it was late; 12:57 to be exact, and the movie had just ended. you've been dating just short of two months, so you haven't had a real sleepover with chris. you tended to just stay until ungodly hours of the night, get in your car, and hope you didn't fall asleep behind the wheel.

you pushed yourself off your spot on chris' body and stretched as you stood up.

"so, what'd you think of the movie?" chris says, stretching himself.

you waved your hand in the air in a dismissive manner. "it wasn't nearly as scary as you made it out to be. you said nick shit his pants, i jumped maybe once."

"well, nicks a baby- oh shit." chris cuts himself off when he looks outside.

"what is it?" you ask, following chris to the window he was looking out.

"it's pouring down rain. i can't even see the mailbox. you're not going home in that, no way." chris says, closing the curtain and turning to face you.

"i have to, i don't, like, have anything." you say nervously.

"there's no way in hell you're driving home in this, sweetheart. it's dangerous." he checks the weather app on his phone, proving his point.

you sigh and sit back down on the couch. "i don't have anything. i don't have clothes or my skincare stuff or a charger."

"i have all that stuff! if you really don't want to, i'm not going to force you. i'll drive you home." he says, but you shake your head.

"no, you're right. it's dangerous. i'll- i'll stay." you say, sitting back down on the couch.

"really?" his face lights up with a huge smile.

"yeah, i'll stay." you smile back at him.

"good! good, i'm glad. uh, let me get you some clothes and stuff." he says, planting a quick kiss on your lips before hurrying off to his room.

you scroll on instagram for a little, just to pass some time while you waited for chris' arrival.

just as you put your phone down, chris comes back with a handful of folded clothes and a goofy smile on his face.

"here, put these on. don't get me wrong, you look beautiful, but there's no way you're comfortable." he laughs, glancing down at your outfit.

"thank you." you smile, taking the clothes and heading to the bathroom.

"i also put out a bunch of skincare items like cleanser and stuff like that. nick left them here for when madi stays. i know it's not exactly what you use, but i figured it's better than nothing." he rambles, but you cut him off with a kiss.

"it's perfect. thank you, baby." you say, walking into the bathroom.

you decide to do your skin before you change, just so you don't get chris' clothes all wet.

you wiped down the sink and counter for any water that you splashed on the surface and looked in the mirror. you took down your hair from the thoughtless bun you had put it in and tousle with it a bit.

you change into the pair of black sweatpants chris had lent you. as expected, they were a little too big for you. you tied the string as tight as you could and rolled the waistband once, which did make them fit a little better.

chris had given you his yellow skies shirt to wear too. he wore it on your first date, and it quickly became one of your favorite shirts to steal.

you ran your fingers through your hair once more before walking out of the bathroom. you grab two pepsi's for you and chris before joining him on the couch.

"you wear my clothes better than i wear my clothes." chris says, looking you up and down.

"they're so comfortable. i'd rather have your closet than mine." you admit, leaning your head down on his shoulder.

he smiles, kissing the top of your head as thunder cracks loudly outside. "aren't you glad you're not driving home in that?"

you smile and nuzzle in closer to him. "yes, very glad. i'd much rather be here with you than out there."

he throws a blanket over the two of you and turns the tv back on. "do you want to watch something actually scary?"

"please."

he puts on insidious; the red door and turns down the lights. you both cuddle in closer to eachother as the thunder outside gets louder and the rain gets harder.

as nervous as you were for your first sleepover, it was a memory you'd never forget.
