in which chris accidentally reveals his relationship with you.

you weren't much of a camera-person. you liked being behind the scenes, recording for vlogs and helping when they had camera issues. chris knew this, and even though it bummed him out that you didn't like to be in videos, he understood. you and the triplets have been friends since early middle school, but you and chris were dating for about a year. even through the years as their friend and the year you were chris' girlfriend, you've only been featured in two videos, and only for about 5 minutes each video.

chris wasn't too upset about you not being in videos, because that meant he could keep you all to himself. it was selfish, but he didn't care, and you liked it that way too. you and chris decided not to share your relationship status with viewers. it made it easier on you guys, and easier on all the teenage girls who think they have a chance.

even though you were in a short amount of footage, the fanbase loved you. any time you were seen in the background of a vlog or tiktok, they would go absolutely crazy and beg for you to be in more. chris asked too from time to time, but you shot him down.

you had moved in with the triplets in their LA home after being friends with them for countless years. they moved to la, asked you to come with, and you did. you had your own room, but you were hardly in it, as chris always asked you to sleep in his room with him.

today was an absolutely beautiful day. the sky was sunny, it wasn't too hot or too cold, and there were just enough clouds in the sky to keep your skin from getting burned. nick had suggested the idea of a chill photoshoot, and chris was all over the idea. you, not so much.

"y/n, we're not going to post any that you're not comfortable with. and if that means not posting any, then so be it. it's gorgeous out, we all want to spend this day with you and just take pictures for our own sake. okay? it'll be a fun memory to look back on." nick persuades, matt and chris nodding by his side.

you sigh and push you hair that was in front of your shoulders behind your back. "fine."

"you sure? because if you really don't want to then we'll just stay here." nick checks, and you give him a smile and a nod.

"yes, i'm sure. it'll be fun! i need some new pictures for my wall anyways."

"thank you, y/n! thank you so much, i know you'll have a blast!" nick says, hugging you tightly before heading off to his room. matt does the same, but chris stays with you, perched on the living room sectional.

"what are you worried about?" he asks, laying down so his head is in your lap and he's looking up at you.

"what?"

"why don't you like being on camera? what are you worried about?" he repeats, keeping eye contact with you.

you sigh and look away from his face. "i just- i don't know. i always feel like i need to be perfect all the time on camera and if i'm not your fans aren't going to like me. it's stupid, i know. i just stay away from that side of the camera. i'll gladly go with you guys and take pictures, i just don't want any pictures that i don't like to be posted. does that make sense?" you stumble through your words, trying to explain your thoughts as best as you could.

"that makes total sense, baby. i'm just glad that you're coming with us today. i need a new background of us." chris smiles, turning on his phone to show you the old one. you remember that day vividly, a small smile creeping onto your face as you reminisce.

it was a picture of a family vacation in florida the beginning of sophomore year of highschool. it took all the begging you could possibly come up with to get your parents to let you go, and you were more than happy when they did. you four were standing on the beach, along with justin and nathan. you were on justin's back, both of you making a stupid face at the camera. chris was laughing at you, matt was smiling pretty, and nick and nate were buried under the sand, holding icecream cones and smiling widely at the camera.
