Rising Queen: Special Chapter

[A/N] This event is happening the same time as the events of Amethyst and Vaye's date. So whilst the lovebirds are on a date, Weiss and Wade are interrogating the angels. You guys can already guess who's the star for this chapter.

Wade.
I straightened my posture as soon as I saw Queen Weiss enter the dungeons. Her majesty, Queen Vaye ordered me to accompany Queen Weiss in interrogating the angels. I honestly didn't think that the queen of witches needed any company but I was not about to deny or disobey my queen. Although I was a bit curious to see the angels. I wasn't here when they arrived so I never got the chance to observe them. Either way, these angels knew that we will not hesitate to eliminate them and yet they still decided to set foot in our kingdom. They have guts, I'll give them that but I'm not so sure if they have brains.

I bowed at Queen Weiss and she nodded at me. We then began walking towards the cellar where the angels were held captive. As I walked behind Queen Weiss, I couldn't help but wonder why the dungeons suddenly smelled nice. I don't go to this place a lot but when I do, it never smelled this good. I sniffed the air and smelled a rather sweet scent, it was like honey. It was a bit suspicious but I'll have to investigate this later. I'll need to report this to Queen Vaye as well. Maybe the guards here in the dungeons weren't doing their duties properly.

"Wade? Why are you sniffing the air?" Queen Weiss asked, shooting me a judgemental look.

I sheepishly smiled at her, "Pardon me, Queen Weiss, but do you not smell this sweet scent? It's identical to the smell of honey."

Queen Weiss' brows furrowed and she shook her head, "No, I do not smell anything of the sort. Have you been smelling this scent for long?" She asked as she eyed me which confused me. She looked like she was observing me but I didn't understand why. Surely she doesn't think I'm crazy, right?

"I'm afraid not, your majesty. I only started to catch the scent when we were walking."

"Great.. an angel and a vampire? How absurd! Wade, follow me." Without another word, Queen Weiss sighed as she began walking fast. I followed her until we reached the cellar of the angels.

I didn't understand what Queen Weiss meant until I laid my eyes on the most beautiful girl I've ever seen. She had short hair with the lightest shade of yellow. Her bright blue eyes stared into mine and I couldn't help but feel weak. From her curly hair, to her electrifying eyes, to her cute little nose, she was perfect. But as I smiled at her, I was met with a frown and a fearful expression. She looked away from me and didn't say anything.

I was speechless, even when Queen Weiss asked me a question, I couldn't move my mouth. I was frozen, staring at the scared little angel in front of me. Her halo was losing its light, her wings were dirty, and her clothes were torn.. but most of all, her expression was of pain. All I wanted to do was to bring her into my arms and protect her from the world.

But then I felt rage when I noticed bruises on her skin. Who the fuck would hurt such an innocent being? I'll fucking kill them. I'll fucking kill anyone who lays a hand on my sweet little angel!

"Wade! Snap out of it!"

I looked at my right and saw Queen Weiss pinching the bridge of her nose in annoyance. She sighed and gestured towards the beautiful angel, "Her name is Talia. I can't believe I'm saying this but you have permission to take her."

My eyes widened, "Is it really alright, your majesty?" I knew Queen Weiss wanted to interrogate them or even torture them but instead, she..

"Take her. You will be dismissed from your many duties for the whole day but I expect you to guard her. Do not let her leave the kingdom or else you will be punished."
