「 CHAPTER 4, Pg. 10」

In the Unknown Void... Y/N's POV;

As the world around me began to darken, a sense of panic welled up within me. The once vivid scene with my friends, bathed in the warm glow of the setting sun, was slowly shrouded in an eerie, spectral veil. I struggled to understand what was happening, my heart pounding with anxiety. "Wait, why is it turning dark?!" I exclaimed in a frantic tone, my voice quivering with fear. "Why can't I see my friends anymore?"

My friends, who had been so vividly present just moments ago, were now fading into the obscurity of the spectral scene. Their laughter, their smiles, their comforting presence—all of it was slipping away, leaving me with a profound feeling of isolation. The helplessness I felt was overwhelming, like being trapped in a nightmare where I had no control over my words or actions.

Desperation surged through me, and I slowly rose to my feet, gazing in despair at the spectral curtain that had cloaked my friends. The once familiar faces, now distant and ethereal, gazed back at me with worry in their eyes, mirroring the profound unease I felt. It was as though they were calling out to me, silently pleading for help. But I was powerless, a mere observer in this enigmatic world, unable to reach out and reassure them.

In the midst of my anguish, a delicate voice broke through the darkness. It was Rose, the butterfly, fluttering around the spectral scene with an air of calm and wisdom. "Calm down," she whispered in a hushed tone, her gentle words offering a glimmer of solace. "You're just sleeping..."

Her words provided some clarity amidst the chaos of my emotions. I struggled to comprehend what Rose was conveying, but her presence seemed to bring a sense of reassurance. She continued, "Remember, this scene is seen through your eyes. Therefore, if you're awake, the spectral is awake, and if you're asleep... well, you know what happens now."

The knowledge that I was somehow interconnected with the spectral scene began to dawn on me. I was both its creator and its prisoner, a prisoner of my own dreams. The realization that my own slumber was responsible for the shrouding of my friends and the spectral world in darkness was a bitter pill to swallow.

With a resigned sigh, I sank back to the ground, overwhelmed by a sense of powerlessness. "How long do I have to stay here?" I asked, my voice carrying the weight of resignation and frustration.

Rose, the ethereal guide in this strange realm, seemed to empathize with my plight. She circled above me, her delicate wings casting faint, silvery glimmers in the encroaching darkness. "Until they break the spell," she replied, her voice carrying the wisdom of ages. It was a cryptic response, leaving me with a sense of longing to understand the nature of the spell, its origin, and the means by which it might be undone.
