"Shall we go with the ninja theme, then? Agreed?" Dante inquired, glancing at Laurence, Travis, and me as we gathered in the living room. Y/N, in the kitchen, hummed to herself while baking Halloween treats for Lucinda's evening party. We discussed our group costumes, and even though Y/N wanted to coordinate for Halloween, she supported the idea of her brother and me, along with our other friends, all going as ninjas. She found it cute.

"Hell yeah!" Travis exclaimed as he snatched a green bandana from Dante's hand and tied it around his forehead. Like an excited child, he ran over to Y/N, striking various poses "What do you think, copycat?" he struck various poses, holding the green bandana to his forehead, while Laurence and I exchanged glances, somewhat indifferent to his childlike antics.

"You look absolutely amazing," Y/N replied in a somewhat patronizing tone, clearly wanting to indulge her brother. Travis jumped with glee before returning to us, buzzing with excitement.

"Anyway..." Dante cleared his throat as we continued to listen, "I bought ninja costumes from the Halloween store, but I picked out different bandanas for each of us. Yellow for me, blue for Garroth, green for Travis, and black for Laurence." Dante handed us our designated bandanas one by one, and we took them from him.

"Was there no brown bandana option? Why does mine have to be black..." Laurence raised an eyebrow as he dangled the black bandana in front of his face. "It just seems so plain... like Zane, you know what I mean."

I stifled a laugh and nodded in agreement. Laurence smirked at me, seemingly proud that I got his joke. Dante and Travis joined in the laughter.

"They didn't have one. Besides, it wouldn't stand out with your already BROWN hair, The whole costume would look off," Dante argued.

"You know, he does have a point," Travis chimed in, placing his thumb and index finger under his chin.

"Either way, I think you'd look great in black, buddy! You look great in everything!" I complimented in a playfully flirty manner. Laurence put a hand on his cheek, forming a curve with his other hand.

"Aww, Garroth, you always know what to say."

"Alright, let's settle down, lovebirds," Dante quipped, attempting to redirect our attention. "So, continuing on, we'll get dressed here and come out with the best-looking costumes ever."

"Yeah!" we chimed in unison, filled with excitement about donning our ninja costumes.

"I'll be seeing you guys later, then," Y/N announced as she carried a box of her freshly baked Halloween cupcakes towards the door. Our attention shifted towards her, eager to taste her homemade treats. "I'm heading to Lucinda's right now to help prepare for the party. She's also going to assist with my costume. Bye, guys. Bye, honey." She blew a flying kiss in my direction, which I playfully caught and tapped on my heart as I waved goodbye.
