[ Chapter 5, Page 9]
"I love her, she's the one I'm sure of it. She deserves nothing but the best ring"

Lover's Lane... Garroth's Home... Third POV;

"Alright," Garroth let out a heavy sigh, the weight of the purple present with its cheerful yellow bow feeling heavier in his hands. As he gingerly placed it back onto the kitchen counter, he couldn't shake the sense of obligation that came with the note from their friend.

"It's a present for Aphmau for Christmas," he began, his voice carrying a mixture of uncertainty and duty. His eyes flitted between his friends and his girlfriend, their attentive expressions only adding to his discomfort.

Zane's inquiry cut through the air, his tone laced with a curious seriousness that bordered on teasing. Garroth bristled at the implication, momentarily stung by his brother's words despite knowing Zane's penchant for playful banter.

"Hey," he retorted, a hint of defensiveness creeping into his voice as he crossed his arms over his chest, his brows furrowing.

Zane's laughter, though softened by affection, only served to underscore the peculiarity of the situation. His gaze drifted to the gift resting behind Garroth, a perplexed expression crossing his features as he pondered aloud, "It just doesn't make any sense, why not just send it straight to Aphmau?"

"Oh! Um... you see," Garroth hesitated, his words tumbling out like a student eagerly replying to his teacher after finally grasping the answer to a challenging question. "His note mentioned that Aphmau always peaks during this time, so..."

"Ah, I see," Zane nodded knowingly, his familiarity with Aphmau's patterns reinforcing Garroth's explanation. He trusted Garroth's judgment on the matter.

"Wait a minute," Kim interjected, a sudden realization dawning on her as she took a step closer to Garroth. "He ACTUALLY sent you a note? Was there anything else mentioned in it? Anything at all?"

"Reflecting on it now, that makes sense," you murmured in agreement, casting a curious glance at your boyfriend, "When you had presented the box to me addressing that it was from Aaron to Aphmau, I never really if there was anything else written on the note"

Garroth nodded solemnly, his gaze distant as he recalled the contents of Aaron's note. "Yes, he did provide a small update. He mentioned that Falcon Claw is experiencing heavy snowfall, which he isn't particularly fond of due to... well, it brings back memories," Garroth's voice carried a tinge of sadness, prompting you to step closer to him, your arms instinctively wrapping around his for comfort as you nestled your head against his shoulder in a gesture of support.
