[ Chapter 5, Page 5]
"You talk about her as if you want to..."

Lover's Lane... Your shared house... Garroth's POV;

"Are you sure you have everything?" I questioned with a hint of panic in my voice. The anticipation of making Aphmau and Aaron's shared house more comforting loomed as you, Lucinda, and Kim embarked on a mission to the mall, armed with the intention of selecting gifts that would provide solace in the aftermath of a significant event.

"You and the girls have the list, right?" I continued, my concern evident. "Are you sure you don't need any money? My card is right here, and you can gladly take it."

As I began to reach for my wallet, Lucinda interjected with a laugh, her voice carrying a playful tone. "Garroth, sweetie, we're just grabbing some groceries and furniture to spruce up the house a bit. Cleaning supplies were elusive at their house, so we should probably buy some ourselves"

Kim, brimming with excitement, chimed in, "And while we buy ourselves, some new clothes for Aphmau would be a great addition as well!" She examined the list in her hand, envisioning how each item would contribute to creating a welcoming atmosphere for the couple during their healing process.

Lucinda, seizing the opportunity for some playful banter, extended her hand with a teasing wiggle of her fingers. "But hey, since it's also a girls day out and if you're offering your card, then..."

Amused by her antics, you giggled and shook your head, placing your hand on top of my wallet and gently pushing it back toward me. "No, Lucinda," you playfully scolded, a hint of laughter in your voice, to which she responded with a mischievous laugh of her own.

"I was just playing with him," Lucinda retorted, sticking her tongue out before turning to Kim to discuss the details of the list that she held in her hand.

As the scene unfolded, you gracefully spun around to face me, a captivating vision of tranquility and care. Your bangs were neatly laid flat, your hair secured in a ponytail, and you adorned yourself in a green oversized sweater, white thermal leggings, and brown boots. The colors harmonized seamlessly, transforming you into a daughter of Mother Nature, radiating warmth and comfort in preparation for the task at hand.
